43F wife completed her sexual life at 36. She has no interest in ever having sex again and resents when I bring it up as a problem in counseling sessions.

What does the counselor say?

New poster, same situation but mid 40s. Counselor basically says this is the price of admission to be married. That women usually lose desire and to focus on non sexual intimacy.

You really need to find a new counselor.

You guys are wasting your time and money at that counselor. Do you seriously expect a counselor to tell your wife “you must provide enthusiastic sex on demand”? If the counselor did say that, would you expect your wife to accept it?

What typically happens: counselor and DW invent some hoops for DH to jump through to make DW happy. DH does this hoping he will get sex but so sorry, not good enough, counselor and DW invent some new hoops for him. And so on. Counselor laughs all the way to the bank.

I've never had much of a sex drive. Occasionally I get horny and I take care of it.
Never married. I've been in some short term and casual relationships, and usually have sex about once per week in those situations.

Film the scene, some weirdo will buy it.

I’m almost 50 and mine hasn’t dropped. I love sex, love intimacy, love the buil up, love the chilling out after - I love it all. My husband lost his drive a few years ago though, which SUCKS.

My sex drive has always been anytime anywhere. My wife’s plummeted 10 years ago after our kid was born.
