In my experience, Hillary could not be more warm, kind, or funny in person. She is completely different than her public persona. She tells jokes and does have a great cackle, appreciates a quick wit and remembers birthdays, hard days, etc. I always felt sad that more people didn't get to know/see that side of her - I guess its personal for a reason.

Ive met her a number of times at weddings, etc. She's close with some of my family friends. I have nothing against her, and I have seen her laugh, but she just seems very ... unpleasant, somehow. Others who know her disagree with me, I know.

I think it totally depends on who you are. I worked in the Senate and saw the "warm" side of her when she was interacting with other Senators. Others, not so much.

Paul Newman - I worked for several summers at one of his camps. He would come every summer and hang out. Just a regular nice guy who loved to spend time with the kids. He'd sit in the dining hall eating speghetti drinking (his own brand!) lemonade with the rest of us.

Anna Clumsky (VEEP) she was in line with her husband to get her daughter's picture with Santa at a local Maryland mall (presumably when they were filming VEEP in B'more.) Seemed very normal just hanging out in a long line with our squirmy kids with all the other parents.

Danny Bonaduce

I saw him just a few years ago. He was attractive in person, magnetic smile, unique looking.

I was too shy to say “hi”.

I lived in New York and LA. I met and/or saw numerous celebrities. Some were very nice.

The most notable thing to me was how different some of them looked in person. Some of the celebrities were very attractive on screen and not so much in person. Some were attractive on screen and were even more stunning in person.

Meghan Markle: When my son and I were visiting my uncle in Toronto, we went down to see Suits being filmed (love the show). In between takes Meghan was sitting off to the side with some sort of hot drink and she came over and interacted with my son a bit. Said how cute he was and ruffled his curls. At the time she wasn't as well known (obviously!) so I didn't really think anything of it.

She was very kind and warm. She didn't give off that fakey vibe that some people have when talking to little kids. She seemed very genuine. Had I only known what would happen in a few years, I would've gotten a picture! Hindsight and all of that.

Agree! He was genuine and made my husband and I feel welcome at a social gathering. While my husband knew who he was, I didn’t until he brought up his wife in our conversation. He was a great family man.

I was seatmates with Kristen Chenoweth on the train to NYC. She was exactly as you would imagine - super warm, friendly, and gracious. I absolutely adored her before I met her - and love her even more now. She's A list in my book.

That's a neat story. I suspect that Meghan is genuinely a nice person, not that fake conniver that some people try to see. Your story just confirms that.

Sonia Sotomayor - she is the nicest, warmest Justice on the Court. She is super approachable, down to earth and will stop for a picture or to chit chat. Always smiling and warm. Love her to pieces.

Back in the mid 90's my best friend was a college student at UCLA (I went to a different college in So. Cal.)
I was at a party at her apartment in Brentwood and she introduced me to her neighbor, he was the voice of Ferdinand the Duck from the movie Babe. He was very nice and cool to talk to.

Leo Decaprio- way back in the early 90s. My cousin is an agent and gave me tickets to an MTV awards show after party. Before Titanic fame. Around Basketball Diaries time. Not very friendly.

I second this one.

We saw him when he was out to dinner with his wife. My son, who is a huge fan, didn't want to interrupt their dinner but he must have caught TJ's eye a few times too many because he came over and said hello to him as they were heading out. Made my son's life. He was very sweet to him and gave him an autograph.

Most of the Caps are super nice and go out of their way for people. One place I worked I ended up essentially having the heard Ovechkin, Backstrom, and a couple other who are no longer in DC around for a day. They were all really nice, laid-back people who made it a point to thank us. Former goalie Jose Theodore was just the sweetest guy. Former Cap and now TV guy Alan May once spotted a bunch of us at a bar wearing Caps gear and decided to join our table. Hilarious, foul-mouthed, and full of stories. For whatever reason, my path kept crossing with Justin Williams for a while and he always seemed so normal.

Another job ended up with me having lunch with DC United's Ben Olsen. Also very grounded.

Once ended up in line at Thrasher's in Rehoboth with Dave Grohl and his kids. He's a goof, and very accommodating of everyone being like "OMG, Dave Grohl!" while trying to get his kids some fries on vacation.

Michael Jordon......total prick. Unless you like hookers and blow, in which case you probably think he's awesome.

Jayson Werth, when he's not driving 120 mph on Georgetown Pike is a calm family guy who takes his kids to little league practice and Caps game. He enjoys talking organic farming, which I find endearing. But he has a case of resting I-will-rip-your-face-off face, so he's kind of intimidating.

Used to spot former Nats Tyler Clippard and Drew Storen riding their bikes around Navy Yard and Capitol Hill and going to the local places. Normal guys.

Jayson Werth is also a skirt chaser...

My father met Bill Cosby back in the '70s and he said the same thing. Complete asshole. Totally not what his character on TV led us to believe.

I just want to know how does someone meet so many famous black people while meeting so few famous non-black people?
