| I met the Pope! But he slapped my hand and snarled at me, which made me sad. I still love him, though! |
+1 the only person I am envious of on this thread |
This seems incredibly true to type. Hilarious. |
Madeleine Albright is very nice. She lives near my family in Loudoun County and they've chatted with her on occasion. |
| What are the Obamas like please? |
I met Michelle a bunch of times while he was a senator. She is smart, fun and very nice. |
HITWGC? I posted about meeting Newman previously in this thread, because I’ve volunteered there too. |
That's really sad.

Curious, are you male or female? I heard years ago of nasty backstage encounters with college age young g women. |
NP here, don't be silly, you know what she means - we all have friends of friends. You are just trying to put her down. Why? |
Bc that poster is a nut. Either you are that poster trying to be slick or you refused to read all her posts about Sandra Bullock. |

Dave Grohl...totally nice, normal human being who is truly into family.
Wilco...also nice, normal human beings, really Chicago-centric and hometown heroes. Gomez (English band, late 1990s was their heyday and when I met them multiple times)...ditto the above. My list is funny, I’m not some big music real or anything, yet there it is...family/friend connections or being in the right place at the right time. |
| Dusty Johnson, the lone Congressman from South Dakota. He tripped over me once and said "Excuse me, miss." That's it. That's the most famous person who has spoken to me. So, I guess based on that exchange alone he was extremely polite. |
| In my 20s my friends and I went to a New Years Eve party at a bar called the Cutting Room in New York City that is owned by Chris Toth (Mr. Big from Sex and the City). He came in that night and my friend said when she saw him “Oh my G*d its Big!” He snapped at her “Don’t call me that!” and walked off. |
It's Noth, Chris Noth. |
