South Arlington resident here- I've learned that "South Arlington" is often a euphemism for "where the non-whites live."

Seems to me the fault lies with whomever displayed the picture without presenting the context that it was meant to ridicule ethnic stereotypes. But the teacher should have recognized this, and ensured context was presented, rather than go off on a political rant against Trump.

The question is why was that particular picture chosen to be the example? The girl's name indicates that she is likely Muslim--I don't know that for sure, but it seems there would have been some extra sensitivity given to not displaying an anti-Semitic cartoon. Especially, in light of all the discussion about Ilhan Omar and her anti-Semitic rants.

Back to the main question, we live near Agudas Achim in Alexandria and there are a lot of member families nearby that send their kids to either George Mason Elementary or Mount Vernon in Del Ray.

I live near one block from Langley HS and the neighborhood is about 50% Jewish and very wealthy.

My younger sister also lives in that neighborhood. She is Asian married to a Jewish husband. Their kids call themselves "Chew", LOL......
