How much time do you really think Reese Witherspoon spends working? |
O-6 in the military make a decent income. My DH is an O-6 and this girl is still working. Who wants to be SAHM with an MBA? Yawn.... |
A lot. Filming a movie takes a lot of time. She also constantly posts on IG and now is touring regarding her upcoming book. |
Your kids are in college. What’s your issue right now? You want your wife to get a job, now??? |
So underpaid world bank jet setter wants the woman who raised his kids and got them into good colleges now to go find a full time job making lots of money.
Why? Because. |
I think most people don't want to work, at least not full time! My husband is looking for a new job and we joke that he should apply to be an independently wealthy landowner. |
If someone wants a fancy car, that person ought to go out and earn it. |
I'm sure someone has brought this up by now but, OP, you do know that raising children and running a household is actually work. It's just unpaid labor.
On another note, I can't imagine being a SAHM. In particular, working for pay outside my house means I have some independence from dh if I need it. But that's just me. Other people will choose differently and I generally support their choice - as long as it isn't based on expecting a rich spouse to foot the bill so they can be lazy. |
It is for that person, maybe not so much for you. Again, you may like whiskey, someone else wants wine. Differences. |

She managed your whole home and raised your kids and continues to do so. While you do you what you sicker fun and exciting - into travel for a pseudo buraurcsry multilateral bank. She can have whatever car she wants. bFD. Go to private industry if you have an family budget issue. |
I'm a guy and I don't want to work, either. Stupid, rigged Mega Millions..... |
I am always amazed how so many people don’t get this. |
Not even coherent at this time of the day! |
+1 Not really about "not working" for most women. - a highly educated SAHM |
