They’ll be alive. That’s going to be the argument used when legislators pass bans. |
| On the bright side, abortion restrictions will accelerate the pace at which "minorities" become a majority in the US. |
I wouldn't be so sure I'm afraid we're going to see more victims of illegal abortion clinics and DIY methods
|

This will also affect women with wanted pregnancies. You can aee this in countries where abortion is illegal...women left to bleed to death because doctors won't risk being charged.
Women could also be restricted in traveling. That's another thing states have tried to do. |
So you’re just ignorant and mean? Lol. I know there’s more to your story. And FFS, having an abortion is using their sense of responsibility. You may disagree with it, but they’ve decided to be sexually active and have gotten pregnant and know that they can’t 100% take or a baby. So they’re aborting. Two thirds of all abortions are done eight weeks or earlier. You don’t Ike or trust women, that much is clear. |
| Wait until the rich Republicans realize their 35 year old daughters can’t abort a fetus that tests positive for Down Syndrome. Did you know that the majority are aborted? |
Pretty sure you are naive. |
| One thing hasn't been mentioned: There are two ways for the Court to overturn Roe. It can say there's no Constitutional right to abortion and it's up to the states. Or it can say that a fetus is a person and it's a violation of due process and equal protection for the fetus not to be protected by the laws that generally govern murder. |
Of course they'd have to define fetus. Is a zygote a fetus? |
Having been to law school, Roe is not taught as "bad law." And Roe isn't the operative case, anyway. It's symbolic, but the more recent case is Casey v. Planned Parenthood. And they don't have to overturn it. They can just keep upholding more and more restrictions until it's functionally banned. |
are you nuts. your base is evangelical mysonginist. they would LOVE to overturn Roe. Or just make it impossible to get an abortion in most states. Sorry, I know several very conservative women who have had abortions, all pro-life. The hypocrisy of conservatives is well known. |
Sure, and if the mother dies from going through with a high risk pregnancy, oh well. God has a plan. |
That was back when he was "very pro-choice in every respect": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsOlXidHXRE |
How can a (hopeful) ban on abortion affect women who are having miscarriages? |
Are you unable to fathom that perhaps they consider the abortion to be the gravest mistake of their lives, and they want to prevent other women from suffering as they have? |
