Will Larry Hogan win Re-Election?

Anonymous
If Baker is the one Dems are hanging their hats on to win, sorry, I'm voting for Hogan again. Baker is out of his depth. Way out.

Ah, yes.

Baker will win the nomination due to huge black support in the primaries, defeating Kamenetz of Baltimore County (likely will be tainted by scandals surrounding the BC school superintendent).

And will get walloped in the regular elections as all the moderates vote for Hogan once more.

Ok, let's just cancel the elections then and re-elect Hogan because you're so sure. Except that most of the people I know aren't voting for him...he's hasn't done anything noteworthy in 4 years.

So why is hogan now introducing three bills that water it down, including manatory sentences for firearms, gang members, and trying juveniles as adults in certain circumstances? It’s like a page out of Jeff Sessions’ playbook. And will cost more state tax dollars.

Criminal justice reform is more about reducing sentencing minimums for non violent offenders and things like low level drug convictions... NOT crimes involving firearms, gangs, and other major felonies where juveniles are frequently tried as adults!!

I am surprised that no one has mentioned the idiotic maglev proposal.

I live along near the maglev train is proposed so of course I will never vote for Hogan. The maglev would actually be ok with me if it stopped in maryland or if our commuter rail system was not running like something from a third world country. MARC trains (at least on the penn line) are routinely over-crowded, late, or breaking down. If we don't have enough money to run a good commuter rail system why are we pursuing a maglev?

Having a high speed inter-city train that stops in every podunk suburban town completely negates having a high speed inter-city train service.

As for MARC, why don't they just raise ticket prices to make enough money to keep the system maintained? That seems like a no-brainer. If the riders believe in it, they'll pay more. If they're unwilling to pay more, then it shouldn't exist anyway.

It's a very simple equation.

+1, Baker seems like a nice fellow, but I won't have the entire state of Maryland run like PG County. Nope. Sorry.

Very good questions. So if we are not willing to fund the commuter rail why should we pursue a maglev? And why hasn’t Hogan addressed the issue first? And why not stop the maglev at New Carrollton and make it even more of a commuter hub?

Trump is an anvil to be hung around every person with an R behind his/her name in MD. If you are ok with his racism, sexism and bigotry, vote R to continue it. I will vote for a pink poodle at this point as long as it is not an R. I am nationalizing my vote like the Rs do!

I'm watching Larry Hogan's state of the state speech, and he doesn't look well. Is he sick again?

He has cancer again. Looks like he’s still running though.

Oh good grief, it’s basal cell. Not a big deal.

Baker has overseen a greater proportion of economic development in PG County than Hogan has in the state, and crime has decreased 50% in the last 5 years. Schools could stand to improve more, but nobody's perfect. I live in PG county and I would vote for him.

Well, he’s had cancer before so perhaps it’s not a big deal to him. It would be to me.

How is anyone supporting Hogan?
After the swastikas were painted on Moco elementary schools, he refused to comment (likely agrees with Donnie that not all Nazis are bad people).

Hogan sensors his FB page having his staff remove negative comments.

He's not going to protect us against Trump. I just don't trust the guy and I think he's deceptively middle of the road,
