Best post so far. Children and adolescents need solid parenting.

Only the 10% in America are solid parents. Their kids attend private school. The public school parents are part of the 47% who do not pay any taxes and mouche off us.

No. You should go to sleep.

The real Americans among the elite 10% sending their children to private schools are the ones sending their kids to private day schools. The notion of sleepover school is well crazy. Parents subscribing to sleepover education must hate their children.

This is exactly the sort of advice that OP should ignore.

I think boarding school is an anachronism. I don't understand why anyone in this day and age would send a child to boarding school unless they needed to get the kid out of a bad home situation or if the local schools were subpar. In England some people still send their kids off to school at age 8. That's why those upper class twits are so completely screwed up! Some traditions are best abandoned. Boarding school is one of them.

"Mine is bigger than yours"

+1. Add

"I am a better parent than you b/c I send my kid to a boarding, private day, or public school."

Another:

"The parents who send their kid to boarding, private day, or public school have their child's best interest in mind unlike those who send them to boarding, private day or public schools who are so selfish and doing only what they and their child WANTS without regard for their child's well being."

"People who send their children to boarding school, private day school, public school must hate their children because I love my kids and send them to boarding school, private day school, public school."

To bring some context to this breast beating contest.

You must feel ashamed that in America only 10% of children go to private schools (both boarding and non-boarding)?

Does this stark reality disturb you? In the meantime, you a blubbering about parents among this elite 10% who choose the boarding school option.

Why don't you send your children to public school like 90% of the rest of Americans?

Only people who homeschool obviously love their kids unlike y'all who make their EDUCATION someone else's responsibility.

....and Homeschooling. Who would outsource this responsibility to private day school/care?

Because public schools suck in DC.

Then why do so many children attend the DC public schools?
