Also, Trump win the popular vote as well. Your whining about the electoral college doesn’t help your argument because he didn’t need it. He would’ve been elected without it.

Trump did not win the majority of the popular vote. He only won a plurality, 49.8%, meaning most people who voted did not vote for him.

Moreover, he received votes from only 77 million people, meaning a mere 32% of eligible voters cast a ballot for him. If you consider the entire U.S. population, only 23% of people voted for him.

So, yes, a minority of people voted for Trump. Deal with it.

No, the conversation began because some tried to argue that he didn’t win popular vote by implying that it needed to be won by a majority rather than a plurality which is obviously wrong. Someone said he won the popular vote and another argued back that it was a plurality as if to say he didn’t win it.

No one argued he didn’t win the popular vote. Reread the thread. This began because someone (probably you) got pissy when it was pointed out that only a minority of people wanted Trump.

SCOTUS seems to approve whatever POTUS wants these days. And Congress obliges by making it easier (e.g. staying out of session).

In the past, yes, they had to convene and appropriate funds.
