What’s the point of being so negative and critical when the school year has not even started? Give the new principal a chance and have more positivity for the kids and teachers at the start of the year.

I went through the staff directory and only noticed a few names missing among teachers. The most noticeable changes were admin (expected) and counselors (not expected). I can’t figure out how there are 33 missing.

That wasn’t my point. I was specifically looking up the names of teachers my son has had over the last 3 years. Since they are still there, they haven’t been replaced. Did they lose a lot of special education, foreign language, art and music teachers (I know a music and theater teacher were involuntarily transfered)? I just see one English teacher missing based on memory of who he’s had. His favorite teachers (minus the English teacher) remain.

The count is at 40 or 41 departures now. The 6th counselor announced her exit today. That’s 6 of 8 counselors from last year who are gone. That’s pretty unprecedented.

All 6 counselors went (1 will be going soon) to other MCPS schools.
