Of course you do 🙄🙄🙄 virtue signaling for fake internet points!

Yes, I actually do. Keeping track of a few things mentally isn't that hard. DW thinks I am crazy for bothering to keep score.

That's correct. It's not stealing from Target or Giant or Safeway. It's from Montgomery County.

I have been taking reusable bags with me since about 2004, when my youngest was a baby. The cashiers at Target couldn't mentally figure out why I kept saying "I have a bag with me." I have enough bags with me 99% of the time, but for that 1%, I always enter 0 for number of bags.

MoCo can go eff themselves with that bag tax.

The store gets to keep some of the fee. It's stealing from the store.

The machine never argues with me. The code is on the bag. You put the correct code in and move on.

Mine scans the veggies and fruits with some sort of camera. Then it argues with itself....you do'nt input codes. It's incredibly frustrating and slow.

Wegmans always seems to be able to figure out whatever vegetable I bought. It's surprisingly accurate and quick. Safeway requires me to enter the code on the sticker.

I don't.......

I don't even know what to type here. The bag tax is to discourage using plastic, and it's 5 cents. Why discourage plastic? Because it's bad for the environment and wildlife. The money collected goes to environmental cleanup.

So, overall, I feel like your worksite is toxic. It's not a hilarious story to storm out of a store for .15 cents that you owe that goes to a good cause. It's illogical, bad behavior. It's not ethical to steal from a store in a self check out. Everyone does not do it.

Everyone is the a-hole here in your scenario.

I steal every chance I get it I have to use self-checkout.

If the store is forcing me to be an unpaid employee by being my own cashier, then I’m taking advantage of an employee discount.

Not even a little, teeny, tiny bit sorry.

Then go to a regular checkout lane, dipshit

I am so much happier at self checkout, or even better, self scan. I get to pack the bags the way I like, with cold things together, no bag is too heavy or packed with one item in it.

Tell me you're a MAGAt without telling me you're a MAGAt.

You shouldn’t say that out loud. It only makes sense in your head.

Actually went back into a store and paid for something when I forgot that I had put it on the bottom of the cart. I just can’t wrap my head around stealing like this.

It’s really odd. I guess we’re surrounded by trash.

I don't steal ever from the self check out. I do find it irritating if the store is pretty empty and the watchers of the self check out when my genx self can't get the scanner to work and they don't offer to help

Where are you forced to use self checkout?
