Give it a few more months until people realize grocery prices and rents haven't gone down and gas isn't under $1.87/gallon as he promised.

39% is "a majority"?

Americans held a 53% approval rating for Trump, according to the poll, which was conducted Feb. 5-7, while an overwhelming 70% agreed he is doing in office what he promised on the campaign trail.

Feds are lazy and entitled. What's your point?

TTTTT....DDDDD....SSSSS is strong on this board. Too many liberals still can't get over the fact that they lost. Elections have consequences.

??? What are you talking about? Everybody is over it. We're talking about Trump's poor approval ratings and how they'll be sinking over the coming months.

Actually his approval ratings are climbing. Stop watching CNN and reading the WaPo or NYT. This is what real leadership looks like whether you agree with him or not. In contrast with Demetia Joe who didn't even know what day of the week it was. Trump has done more in 3 weeks than Joe did in 4 years.

Yes, but they will care if the feds and contractors get let go, resulting in the unemployment rate suddenly jumping to 8% and crashing the entire economy.

Trump's approval ratings are tied to the economy. They're set to plunge in the coming months as the results of his trade war manifest. This is what failed leadership looks like.

lol those are not things liberal or normal Americans watch and read. CNN is all in on their right wing slant and their numbers have cratered. The RWNJs only watch Fox. The WAPO is now propaganda for Trump with JB ownership. The NYT is only concerned about pushing out Israel propaganda.

Dementia Trump does not even know what he is signing. You seem very worried and you should be.

That is the extraordinary finding of a new J.L. Partners/DailyMail.com poll.

To be sure, his numbers are still poor for a newly inaugurated commander in chief, but his whirlwind start -cutting a swath through government agencies, deporting migrants and threatening trade wars with countries from Colombia to Canada - has not proved as divisive as it might have been.

Are you suggesting that all the hysterical people calling him a FASCIST!!! isn’t working? This is a real shock.

I think it’s more that the American people are embracing fascism.

Or it could be that your side has no grasp on reality. Where are you seeing all this fascism in your daily life away from the internet and cable TV?

Harris voter here. Americans are not yet largely "embracing" fascism. But polling suggests that many would, and we are heading down that path.

We have a bought, 78 year President who is encouraging a fraudster billionaire with a band of barely legals to do whatever they want. And so far this seems to have popular support.

If we don't change direction, we are likely to end up where we are headed.

This bought 78 year old wouldn't be in office if the previous bought 78 year old wasn't the incumbent in 2024. Weakness breeds weakness.

This makes zero sense and is absolutely akin to victim blaming. If you voted for Trump, you and you alone own your decision.

Yes, Trump voters deserve most of the blame for the madness. This being said; Trump would have had zero chance of winning against any legitimate competition in 2024 and therefore those the Biden 2020 voters aren't completely off the blame hook. I realize it's easier to point fingers and no one likes admitting wrongs but mistakes that aren't acknowledged are repeated. Biden was a very big mistake that gave us a Trump second term and it's important for us not to repeat mistakes that make the country vulnerable like this in the future. If you never voted for Trump or Biden 2020, good for you but most of us can't claim the same.

Haha, a toddler let loose in the world of grownups can get quite a bit done as well. Doesn't mean any of it is useful. Or helpful. Any the cleanup will be awful.

Facts seem to be funny to you crazies. There are about 4 million government contractors and over 2 million government employees.
The current unemployment rate is about 4% with 6.8 million people unemployed. If we let go of 75% the contractor and government staff (which is reportedly a possible number I've heard of Musk looking for), unemployment would rise to 11.3 million people, or 6.6% already. That would have a cascading impact other programs and services as well that rely on the government. After all, cutting government spending would also cut jobs for those who were funded even if not contractors or staff. Unemployment would easily hit 8%

Polymarket successfully predicted Trump's electoral win early. Will it successfully predict his fall in popularity?
