When you realize that most people in America, Dems and Republicans, hate DC and politicians in general these polls make sense. They don’t care that Feds are suffering…most Americans think Feds are lazy and entitled anyway. https://www.forbes.com/sites/alisondurkee/2025/02/09/trumps-approval-rating-at-53-in-new-poll-but-americans-are-less-sure-about-elon-musk/
Americans held a 53% approval rating for Trump, according to the poll, which was conducted Feb. 5-7, while an overwhelming 70% agreed he is doing in office what he promised on the campaign trail.

Yes, but they will care if the feds and contractors get let go, resulting in the unemployment rate suddenly jumping to 8% and crashing the entire economy.
You libs are funny.
Facts seem to be funny to you crazies. There are about 4 million government contractors and over 2 million government employees. The current unemployment rate is about 4% with 6.8 million people unemployed. If we let go of 75% the contractor and government staff (which is reportedly a possible number I've heard of Musk looking for), unemployment would rise to 11.3 million people, or 6.6% already. That would have a cascading impact other programs and services as well that rely on the government. After all, cutting government spending would also cut jobs for those who were funded even if not contractors or staff. Unemployment would easily hit 8%
