That is the extraordinary finding of a new J.L. Partners/DailyMail.com poll.

To be sure, his numbers are still poor for a newly inaugurated commander in chief, but his whirlwind start -cutting a swath through government agencies, deporting migrants and threatening trade wars with countries from Colombia to Canada - has not proved as divisive as it might have been.

Are you suggesting that all the hysterical people calling him a FASCIST!!! isn’t working? This is a real shock.

I think it’s more that the American people are embracing fascism.

Or it could be that your side has no grasp on reality. Where are you seeing all this fascism in your daily life away from the internet and cable TV?

Harris voter here. Americans are not yet largely "embracing" fascism. But polling suggests that many would, and we are heading down that path.

We have a bought, 78 year President who is encouraging a fraudster billionaire with a band of barely legals to do whatever they want. And so far this seems to have popular support.

If we don't change direction, we are likely to end up where we are headed.

This bought 78 year old wouldn't be in office if the previous bought 78 year old wasn't the incumbent in 2024. Weakness breeds weakness.

Contrary to the progressives’ moaning and groaning, the majority of Americans are happy with what Trump is doing and want more of it.

your daily reminder that the only reason Biden ran in 2020 was because of Trump. I’m sure he would’ve loved to have happily stayed retired. But no, people had to vote for Trump in 2016 because he was on the Apprentice.

You can thank those voters.

Yes. The only people to blame for Trump are Trump voters. Low-information and gullible or evil.

Not according to the composite poll. Also, keep in mind that he's at his current highwater mark. It's only downhill from here as prices continue to rise and the economy deteriorates. Right now, the uninformed poll respondent thinks he's working on this (he's not).

Give it a few more months until people realize grocery prices and rents haven't gone down and gas isn't under $1.87/gallon as he promised.

+1 I just heard that Trumpsters call him “daddy” - truly sickening that grown adults need an obese, greedy, angry buffoon to tell them what to do.

It's his vibe. Michael Cohen considered him a daddy.

Yeah, really.

I just made up my own poll. His approval rating is 5%.

I call it the Daily Daily Mail Mail poll.

As usual, no one is crying but the little baby MAGAs. We get it, you are traitors to your country and you are big mad that we are going to stop your secret lover and musk.

Of course they are high! Even if the price of cars and homes and eggs and stuff doubles, we are back to plastic straws!!

The pitchforks are being gripped tightly.

Again, where are you seeing this in your daily life? You're projecting fear porn. The only panic at the upper levels are coming from the usual lifetime politicians like Schumer and Schiff who do more hysterical fearcasting than even the folks here.

Trump is the King of Fearcasting
Tariff threats
Threats against Panama
Threats against Hamas
Threats against Mexico
Telling Americans they will feel pain for a while

Meanwhile, he hasn't brought down grocery prices and has deported fewer people than Biden in the same time period...

He's an old man loser.

If Trump had beaten an Obama or Clinton in 2024, I'd be willing to give him some credit. As it is, he won in 2024 because the opposition party had a very unpopular incumbent of questionable fitness who exited the race 3 months prior to Election Day. You can try all you want to reinvent history but that is what happened. A weak sitting POTUS made it possible for a weak former POTUS to become POTUS again.

There is a lesson in all of this if we can all stop pointing fingers and look in the mirror for a few seconds.

The population, the media, both .. build you up until they knock you down.

Just like the Chiefs at the Super Bowl.

This makes zero sense and is absolutely akin to victim blaming. If you voted for Trump, you and you alone own your decision.
