Why was she tasered?

She was tortured. The garret are whatever is used to torture- she clawed away at it. She was alive during that and the sex abuse. You really think the mom or dad would have tortured her to cover up? That seems implausible.

And why did the police not release dna evidence after they found it in mid January? Why did they have to be sued to let the outside detective, who was highly skilled, present his intruder theory ti the grand jury.

Why didn’t anyone mention the serial rapist who was running around boulder breaking into the houses and hiding out for hours until everyone was asleep and then finding young girls to rape? Just a coincidence or was that patsy ramsey too?

I feel like some of you didn’t watch this documentary.

Someone in the police department was deeply corrupt. I’m wondering if a cop was the serial rapist and needed to cover up.

She wasn’t tasered. The marks on her back matched the tracks of burkes electric train set, which was set up in the basement. He knocked her unconscious with the flashlight after an altercation -likely after luring her down to the basement cellar to look at unopened Christmas presents for their upcoming trip with John’s kids from his first marriage. She was unconscious and when he couldn’t wake her up, poked her and experimented with her with the train tracks, a paintbrush and ultimately strangled her with a garrote, whether intentionally or not. Her bladder let loose this point on the carpet outside the cellar. Literally everything from the violent part of the attack was from materials in the kitchen and basement.

Patsy never went to sleep that night, was up late packing or whatnot, discovered the scene. She let out a blood curdling scream which a neighbor reported hearing. She found JB strangled to death - did not know she’d been knocked unconscious first with a fatal brain injury - and staged an abduction with duct tape over her mouth (that patsy’s sweater fibers were found on, and was undisturbed, proving it had been applied after jonbenet was already deceased.) she also used the same string as the garrote to loosely tie jonbenets wrists. She wiped down her legs and put new unopened underwear on her (”days of the week” underwear she had purchased from bloomingdales for an older niece.) wrapped her in a blanket that the housekeeper had left in the dryer, in fact, so recently removed that a nightgown was stuck to it with static.

She then wrote a three page ransom note with materials from the kitchen. Neighbors reported seeing dim lights on in the kitchen around 3am. John, who had taken a sleeping pill the night before expecting to fly their plane to Michigan, woke up to a scene of a staged ransom note and patsy calling 911. patsy called a bunch of friends over and got Burke out of the house, which is NOT what normal parents would do after their other child had been abducted. He knew something was off but did not figure out the full extent of things until the time for a ransom call came and went, and he disappears for an hour to the basement where he discovered jonbenet. He completed some elements of staging. Patsy was still wearing the same clothes and makeup as the night prior, indicating that she never slept.

The sole suitcase found in the basement was probably there to try to remove her from the house, but rigor mortis had set in by that point.

A few hours later, in searching the house again, John made a beeline for the cellar where they discovered jonbenet. that evening, John tried to get the family out of state to Atlanta, which the police informed them they could not do.

Burke never showed concern for his missing sister or for his own safety. And he indicated to police before autopsy results were available that he knew how JB died - that a “a bad guy” had hit her over the head.

Burke had a history of psychological behaviors - including police finding his fecal matter in jonbenets room and on a box of chocolates she’d received for Christmas - and had attempted to hit her in the head with a golf club the summer prior. He was troubled and likely not being adequately treated.

A horrible case but most likely scenario of what happened.

Um, you don’t stage an abduction by duct taping someone’s mouth and tying their hands and then leaving their body in your home. You stage an abduction by removing the person/body from the home. Especially not if your spouse intends to find the body when police Keystone Cop the situation and can’t locate it.

And no 9 year old is going to keep all of that a secret. They are terrible secret keepers.

Plus there was an unlocked door and no alarm set. With all of the people in and out of the house how could the possibly say “no intruder”? How would they even know if someone let themselves in and out the same door.

Why would the intruder use only supplies from
The house to kill her? Why would the intruder sit in the kitchen with her and eat pineapple? Why would the intruder write a long ransom note after killing her with the household notepad and pen and put them back where they belonged in the drawer? And how would the intruder know patsy would come down the back spiral stairs in the morning?

Why would a mother torture and kill her daughter or do all the crazy things you’re suggesting? What 9 yr old is capable of all this? Your theory isn’t that obvious plus no DNA from Burke on her. How do you explain that? There is some other man’s DNA. What’s your theory there?

Because parents abuse their kids all the time. When a child is killed in the home it’s usually a parent / step parent. The amount of mental gymnastics to make this be done by an intruder is too much, given the details of the crime and crime scene. I can’t explain the dna but it’s touch DNA so it could have been from anything. It could have been a random other kid at one of the Christmas parties yanking her pants down as a joke earlier in the day. I can’t explain it , but, I can’t explain a million other things about the intruder theory.

In 2024, people are not shocked by the beauty pageants.

In the 1990s, it was shocking to see the images of Jon Benet with her hair teased out with full make up on stage in what looked like a Las Vegas show girl costume. Most of America didn't know what to think of this strange behavior from the family.

Turns out the mother was herself a pageant winner from Virginia.

Anyway even now the Internet describes a six year old child Jon Benet as a beauty pageant winner.

That's disgusting.

All children are beautiful.

When I was a kid, our dance costumes were mostly one piece leotards with some fringe. We didn't wear makeup.

A friend from the dance studio I went to with my sister as kids, posted an old news article where all of our names were published in the paper. There was a cute photo of my neighbor across the street in her dance costume with her name printed. This was the 1970s. Looking back, it would be so easy for a pedo to have stalked any one of us. We had no idea.

That could have happened to Jon Benet.

Aaaannnf you didn’t watch the documentary.

The taser marks were not just on her back but on her neck too. The marks on her body were NOT consistent with the train tracks but that of a taser.

Who tore up her vagina with a broken paint brush? Sorry to be crass, but I noticed you conveniently left that out. A heartbroken mother did did that, just for kicks????

Also the Ramseys didn’t have a plane. More trash that was made up about them.

Whoever posted that super long explanation of the family cover-up is relying on old outdated Reddit threads that have been debunked.

It’s based on a book the chief detective wrote about the case. Foreign faction by James kolar.

I used to represent people on death row who had killed and sexually abused children, often their own. They had ALL also been sexually abused as children. None of my clients or anyone else I knew (and I read hundreds of horrible, horrible cases) abused their own children in the way that Jon Benet was abused. There are ways people abuse their own children and ways people abuse strangers. Not the same. I won’t go into details because it’s sickening but it would be an incredibly rare case if one of the parents inflicted this harm. Although to be fair it would also be an incredibly rare case if an intruder did it, so there’s that.

That person keeps posting and doesn’t care that their facts are wrong. The ransom note wasn’t 3 pages. It was weirdly long! But it wasn’t 3 pages.

I had always thought the dad did it, but the documentary was convincing on the point that the Boulder police so botched the investigation that we will never know.

I also find it hard to fathom that if the brother did it and either parent discovered the crime, they would have suddenly made a Sophie’s choice to save Burke by desecrating their dear daughter’s body in such a horrific way.

Anonymous wrote:Was there a serial rapist in Boulder? I just started watching the documentary. I don't know if I care to watch the whole thing.

I judged the family based on the beauty pageants.

My cousin is in high school dance competitions.

I am a woman. I went once to a long all day competition.

There are young girls changing their clothes and costumes out in the open. No privacy. Huge hall where they change their clothes.

Lots of men walking around. Brothers, fathers, photographers. Who knows.

And I noticed weird photos on FB marketplace of people selling these dance costumes. The girls faces are blacked out. It looks pornographic. And no I am not a pervert. People need to see the world sometimes from a less naive vantage point.

It wouldn't be odd that some pervert was following Jon Benet in the public eye and stalking her.

There was, and his move was to break into the home when everyone was out and hide there for hours until people fell asleep. But the police didn’t like that “coincidence” so they kept it suppressed.

This documentary corrects so many bad theories about the family doing it. I feel so bad for the Ramseys.

Not like this. Sorry. Doesn’t fly.
