Do you drama queens truly not understand this?

You left out “because we have a democratic system.”

One option in this election will be infringing on many people’s rights, including the right to fair and open elections. That’s pretty bad.

Can you link where Trump has said he is against fair and open elections? Because this I haven’t heard.

Seriously? J6 and fake electors and refusal to have a peaceful transition of power ring a bell? At a recent rally he said if you vote for him this time, you'll never have to worry about voting again.

A bunch of fear mongering.

Ridiculously out of context.
Just like when he said there will be a “bloodbath” (the context was that the argument he was making was that if he is not elected it will have disastrous consequences in the automotive industry…”it will be a bloodbath”
Financially! For the automotive industry!
But the “completely unbiased” MSM wants to sell you the idea that he is calling for militant violent unrest in the form of a “bloodbath” to protest his no -election if he loses. This is NOT AT ALL what he said.

Likewise, the “just vote this one time and you’ll never have to vote again” was him being a wise-ass….talking to Christians who sit in their asses and don’t feel like voting. He’s pleading with them like a nagging spouse—“come on…just go vote this one time and I’ll never ask you to do it again” (bc duh—he can’t run again so this is that last time!!!)
Y’all are nuts if you srsly think he is plotting to assume the presidency at 81 and then plan to do what exactly???? Live forever and outlaw elections?
I thought it was Trump who was supposed to be “unstable”…thus kind of rhetoric is not something you truly believe though right??? I mean, he’s been oresident before. And literally none of that happened.

That’s why the boogey man tactics aren’t going to work this time.

Nope: crime is down, not up. The other two issues were exacerbated by Trump era policies that we are still dealing with.

How can people spout this nonsense.

Because no one fact-checks the left.
And when they do (like during the debate where Miur “fact-checked” Trump on this) and then a week later when the FBI says “oops our stats were wrong, crime did actually go up”—-they correct it quietly with a footnote that no one sees unless they are consuming “conservative” media.
Go ahead, Google it, PP. Crime is UP and FBI confirmed it.

We won’t hold our breath for an apology.

I think trump is a petulant vengeful baby who brings out the worst and appeals to the worst in humanity and cannot believe he is on the ticket (have voted both ways in the past but trump to me is next level insane). Trying to get dh to do canvassing/ phone banking but he doesn’t want to and is not concerned bc ‘it’s fine’ and ‘Kamala will win’. Clearly the polls do not clearly show this and to me his disinterest is personal - so many more women and babies have died since roe reversed. I just feel like he is a weenie not to be as fired up as I am or at least in the ballpark of it. Anyone else?

The irony here is delicious. Based on this post OP is only on the normal level of insane, I guess.

I think voting, and giving money (whatever you can afford) is a decent replacement for phone banking and canvassing. OPs dh could ld probably make difference as a man who supports Harris on social media than he could by phone banking.

Now, anyone who votes for Trump and the MAGAs in 2024? I have no respect for them anymore.

He never said that. And if you are so sure please post your non partisan proof.

For example a woman in a red state with draconian abortion laws will vote Trump because if she is a woman with financial means she knows that she can find a WAY to have an abortion for her daughter should she needs. So this woman does not care about another woman with less means who will be have no choice but to carry that child. Sadly we as a people think about ourselves a lot and only ourselves.

Yes, I am a woman with financial means, but I would never spend a dime so my daughter could have an abortion. I believe in the sanctity of human life in all cases.

+1. I believe in the sanctity human life too - of the sanctity of the life of the already alive and born woman above the as yet to be born fetus.

We have very little control over the outcome and things like canvassing only soothe your anxiety. They don’t actually do much.
I love in Maryland, a solid blue state. My vote for either candidate, or to not vote at all makes no difference.

NP here: it was an attempted coup by a bunch of un-American traitors who hate freedom.

It sickens me to see Trump voters try to wrap themselves in the flag, patriotism, and the Constitution. They deserve none of that because they already forfeited it on January 6.

I have news for Americans. Your country is tribal just like mine. Sure you all speak the same language and have far less different ethnicities than us, but your cultural, religious, economic, social beliefs are not uniform . You have major differences between areas of the country just like we do between tribes.

This is something I think Americans are refusing to either understand or accept.

January 6th was a few ridiculous crazy people. I could say the same thing about connecting you to the people who were murdering innocent people and setting homes and businesses on fire during the BLM rallies-again it was crazy people not the vast majority.

Texas is Draconian when it comes to birth. I had pre-clampsia for DAYS, was gaining several pounds of water weight per day and crapping myself all day long, and they refused to give me a c section because “vaginal is better for the baby” despite multiple failed inductions and the epidural completely wearing off.

Finally a resident took mercy on me and convinced them to do a c section. I have zero doubt I would have died if she hadn’t.

Could not agree more. Everyone on DCUM with their panties in a wad about this when it doesn’t matter one bit. VA and MD are going for Harris whether you vote or not. But go on berating your husband for not canvassing.

Believe it or not most people in swing states are not obsessed about this. Politics is a passing conversation not people’s lives. Ironic because our votes might actually decide the election.

The amount of canvassing, non-stop ads, constant candidate visits in my swing state is so insane that everybody is sick of it all. Everyone has already picked their candidates anyway. I do think we’ll swing red this time, though.

Yep. So ready for all of this crap to be over. Not sure what my swing state will do. Could go either way. Luckily I live in a solidly purple area where people are free to express their views without being attacked by the whackjobs on either side. The rest of the state? Not so much.
