Agree with this too. I can’t stand Trump, but it is true that he will get the unpopular things done. I think that’s one of his true skills, actually. He doesn’t GAF what others think of him and he will do (most of) what he says he will.

Harris definitely never answered the question about why the Biden/Harris administration hasn’t done the things she says need to be changed. And VERY tellingly, she completely avoided answering why Biden waited 3 1/2 years to act on securing the border, after saying “there was nothing” he could do - and six months before the election. I’d love to hear that answer.

Like never having an election again? Like using to Russia to spy on political opponents? Like gutting the US government? Like denying women abortions and IVF? Like building luxury condos in Gaza?

Those are all very unpopular things. Do we want a president to do things that are so unpopular a vast majority of Americans are opposed to them?

Moderators let a good 90% of Trump's lies go unchecked. If anything, they went easy on him.

Fox does not deserve to have a debate and the advertising dollars. They had to spend millions because they were supporting the election fraud lie. And in addition, part of their defense was, they are not a news network. They are an entertainment network.

The debate should not be on an entertainment network, nor should it be on a network that spreads lies.

The role of a debate moderator is to ask questions to initiate discussion, keep the participants on topic as best they can, maintain order by cutting off participants when their allotted speaking time has expired, and most importantly, to remain neutral. Suggesting moderators should play a role in fact checking opens the door to moderator bias creating an uneven playing field. Fact checking is to be done by the intended audience which in this case is the American people. There are neutral media sources we can turn to for accurate fact checking if we can step out of our political bubbles long enough to seek out sources of unbiased information.

I don't have a problem with the moderators fact checking some of Trump's obvious untruths as we saw last night. Most statements by both candidates were based on half truths and question dodging and the moderators correctly refrained from adding their two cents in response to the half truths and question dodging. Overall, it was a cleaner and less embarrassing for the country debate. Harris had a better showing in this debate.

Actually, she WAS at the Capitol on January 6. She was ALSO other places on that day.

Harris is not the current president. Harris, as VP, supports Biden and carries out Biden’s agenda at his behest. Your personal view that “she’s basically in charge already” doesn’t change that and isn’t provably accurate beyond your opinion. So with Trump, he has a track record as President, and it’s fair to ask why, if he’s committed to a goal, he did not accomplish it when he had the chance. That’s not a fair question for Harris. She gets: “How would you accomplish the goal — given the opportunity “. With Harris, we don’t exactly know how she would do “great things” as President— because she hasn’t been President yet. While you might believe that Trump would “do a far better job” — that his”job” includes cozying up to dictators, rolling back civil rights of many kinds, and overcharging the SS while he plays golf is something that most of us adamantly reject.

I’m more than fine with 4 more years of current trends.

So there's one isolated instance of some migrants taking geese from a pond. And another isolated instance of some mentally ill lady who is NOT a migrant who apparently stomped a cat, killed it and allegedly started eating it.
