Just look up with Governor Northam said. He is a doctor. He said what Trump described. It’s on video. It is real and it was the whole truth out load. Hard core abortion rights people believe a mother should have complete choice to eliminate her child the entire term and upon birth. She wasn’t forced to admit she wants no restrictions but that he has view. But don’t act like he lied. Northam said those things.

She explained how we're better off than we were four years ago when she pointed out how many Trump-era messes Biden had to clean up. There was just so much to fix.

Actually, your “to be fair” isn’t fair at all. Harris was indeed at the Capitol on January 6th — and that has been documented.

As to your concern about “voters (being) better off, that’s an overly general question, that you’re asking about millions of people. Some are, some aren’t. You have no idea what Harris thinks, and her view is likely more nuanced than yours. For example, people with health insurance thanks to the ACA are clearly “better off” in her view, while women and girls losing rights with respect to health care and abortion are clearly not better off in her view.

I think it’s weird that your posing as someone asking “fair” questions of Harris — when clearly you’re being anything but “fair” as well as either uninformed or posing as though you’re uninformed in the guise of asking questions about the moderators’ supposed “interests”.

The “better off” question was specifically addressing economically better off.

I mean, by any objective economic measure, yes, we're better off:

1) Unemployment is down dramatically. It was 13% in 2020 and is 4.2% today.
2) The stock market has surged.
3) Inflation is now under 3% -- took a few years to deal with the Trump administration's mismanagement that caused inflation in the first place.
4) Real GDP grew 3% in the second quarter of 2024. It contracted in 2020 by 2.3%. See (3) about mismanagement.
5) Consumer confidence rose and is rising.

I mean if you were “at the twin towers” at 6am on 9/11, but across town at another location when the planes actually hit, would you pipe in three years later with “…I was there at the towers on 9/11 and it was very scary…people DIED!!”

Or would you agree that this would be quite misleading and that this statement would give people the false impression that you were actually there when the events that “9/11” is known for were going down?

She obviously said it that way to give the impression that she was present at the time that the crowd was entering the Capitol, but she wasn’t. She clearly wants to elevate her position to that of a “witness” to the events when that’s completely false.

Guess who said he was there at 9/11?

Both places were under attack at the time. They found bombs that failed to properly detonate at the DNC on January 6.

She did not avoid the question on limits. She said she wanted to go back to the Roe restrictions. If you don't know it is p to the time of viability for the fetus, or the life of the mother.

You really like getting into unnecessary weeds. I have heard people say they were late for work on 9/11 and would have been in the towers that morning. The woman was in the capital on January 6.

DP. I can speak for myself. I am better off financially. My sister lost her job in 2017, and it took her a long time to find another job. She is better off in 2024 than she was between 2017-2020. However, she was better off in 2016 than she is in 2024. How far do you want to gauge this question of yours.

Plenty of lies went unchecked. The egregious ones like eating dogs and cats were gently corrected. After all the age-discriminating media coverage popped off, with very little mention of the non-sequitur ramblings of the "younger" choice, I guess I just don't feel a whole lot of pity this time around. I mean, most of what TFG said was objectively false and bananas. Not as in, shades of truth but ultimately a lie false. Fully false and psychotic. The moderators are normal people who have to draw the line somewhere. You want them to smile and nod when he warns that the pets in Ohio are in danger of being stolen and consumed by the bad foreigners?

I found it odd the moderators were fact-checking; that is the job of each debater. The moderators should be there to move the debate along. Very strange.
