Personally I think it's a huge deal that a politican that is runningH for the highest elected office in the US claims to be trying to unite the nation when he continually tries to encourage bigotry within the US. - He encouraged anti-Semites in Charlottesville - He had a 40 year record of anti-Black bigotry, hatred, and outright racism - He is clearly a sexist who has sexually assaulted multiple women, one of which he was legally sanctioned for in court. he has proclaimed his sexism multiple times on record and he has activcely worked to overturn women's rights while in office - He has routinely promoted anti-Latino rhetoric and actively worked against Latino rights - He has routinely spouted anti-Asian rhetoric and sentiments and has encouraged violence against Asians - He has made anti-Palestinian remarks and essentially demeaned them with racist comments So, is it any surprise that he would make racist comments about Haitians and frame them for actions they didn't commit, only for political gain? He's using them as a campaign stunt and he doesn't care that he's unleashed violence and hatred against Haitian Americans just as a political gambit. And once he was (yet again) proven wrong, he did not apologize or try to stem the violence, he doubled down and insisted that the comment that was completely fabricated and fictitious was truthful. The senility has completely divorced this man from reality, but some people still want him to be commander-in-chief and have access to the nuclear codes. Plus, the person who instigate all of this, Trump's running mate, JD Vance has said that he has no qualms about lying and conjuring up divisive and abusive stories if he thinks it will help them win the election. Why do we want to elect people who believe that their being elected to office is more important than the health, jobs, and lives of the people that they would be representing? |
