Debate Moderator Fact Checks

They were part of Team Harris and they went after Trump while failing to correct any of Kamala’s misrepresentations.

What were her misrepresentations?

They did ask her about fracking and they did ask her about whether she believed in abortion up to 9 month. But she didn’t answer either. She said she signed the tie breaking vote for fracking. That didn’t explain her view. She had a positive day but she skated in a lot of fluff and vibes and smiling teeth and hand motions. Light in substance as always and moderators let her.

Like she said, it’s insulting to women to even ask that question. Of course no one thinks murder infanticide should be legal.

While I don’t think the moderators were at all fair to trump, it is also a fact Kamala Harris exceeded
most people's expectations last night.

That said, when it comes to getting things done, not just saying nice-sounding words, I strongly believe that Trump will do a far better job. After all, if Kamala can do great things, why hasn't she?

Biden rarely shows up for work, so she's basically in charge already. The question comes down to this:

- do you want current trends to continue for 4 more years or do you want change?

And obviously had no interest in pressing her to give a straight answer when she dodged the “do you think voters are better off than they were four years ago?” Question (she doesn’t, but they don’t want to make her SAY that) and when she avoided answering whether she supports limits on abortion in 7th, 8th, 9th month (she doesn’t, but again they don’t want to make her SAY that).

But did anyone think it was weird that they said nothing when she claimed to have been at the Capitol on Jan 6 when she was actually at DNC headquarters???
Why would she say she was there?? And why wouldn’t the moderators correct her in that assertion?

Actually, she WAS at the Capitol on January 6. She was ALSO other places on that day.

According to Politico.

I mean if you were “at the twin towers” at 6am on 9/11, but across town at another location when the planes actually hit, would you pipe in three years later with “…I was there at the towers on 9/11 and it was very scary…people DIED!!”

Or would you agree that this would be quite misleading and that this statement would give people the false impression that you were actually there when the events that “9/11” is known for were going down?

She obviously said it that way to give the impression that she was present at the time that the crowd was entering the Capitol, but she wasn’t. She clearly wants to elevate her position to that of a “witness” to the events when that’s completely false.

And I agree about the Trump fact checks - they did a great job with that. Sadly, they did not with Harris.

Actually it was this. Trump was given time to get his thoughts out. What did you want the moderators to say. "Tell me Kamala whether you think that Trump took a bullet to the head because of you." Not all of Trump's crazy ideas require a response.

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/harris-trump-presidential-debate-transcript/story?id=113560542
FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: This is the one that weaponized. Not me. She weaponized. I probably took a bullet to the head because of the things that they say about me. They talk about democracy. I'm a threat to democracy. They're the threat to democracy – With the fake Russia Russia Russia investigation that went nowhere.

DAVID MUIR: We have a lot to get to. Linsey?

Agree with this too. I can’t stand Trump, but it is true that he will get the unpopular things done. I think that’s one of his true skills, actually. He doesn’t GAF what others think of him and he will do (most of) what he says he will.

Harris definitely never answered the question about why the Biden/Harris administration hasn’t done the things she says need to be changed. And VERY tellingly, she completely avoided answering why Biden waited 3 1/2 years to act on securing the border, after saying “there was nothing” he could do - and six months before the election. I’d love to hear that answer.

Doesn’t really matter. They should have been fair and fact-checked her, too.

But at what month of pregnancy is it not ok to abort?...

Ah—but you had to look it up, didn’t you?
I bet this is the first time you knew that she wasn’t there. And is t it odd that she wasn’t there? Why not? Wasn’t she meant to be present at the Capitol? What was she doing at the DNC headquarters and why doesn’t anyone ever ask her about it?
Is no one curious?

Was the Senate in even in Session 1/6? The House is the one that certifies the vote, not the Senate.

If she was at the DNC, it’s because she is a Democrat, and VP ecet, and this plays a rather large role in the DNC?

What are you trying to imply, exactly?

So, a woman VP is supposed to accomplish more than a male president, like Trump? If he Made America SOOO Great Again, why did he lose the election?

Yes, I would like the economy to stay strong. More tariffs will not be good for the economy. Also, I like the trend of honesty, which I suddenly find is worth voting for. Nobody is perfect, but the scale is dramatically tipped one way.

They really only fact checked his most egregious lies. I mean, come on aborting babies after they're born. Spreading rumors about Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio.

They did not fact to come on other lies such as him telling the American people he has no knowledge of project 2025. We have the receipts and pictures and video with him actually saying to his heritage foundation supporters what a great plan it is. I mean, come on now

Also, the lie that he was just an innocent at the January 6 insurrection. He did not incite the violence. Again it was on TV. We all saw it unfold, we all read his tweets coming up to January 6, and heard what he said to his supporters!

Don't tell me that my eyes did not see what they saw and my ears did not hear what they heard. That's Orwellian shit.
