Not sure. It just feels weird that she’s utterly silent on having to cancel three entire shows and completely missing a city. It’s certainly something to comment on, acknowledging to your fans that it sucks, don’t you think? In other concerts, she acknowledges the effort it takes to get there, that many in the audience traveled great distance to get there, etc. so she knows that many people were in that boat. Seems worthy of comment to me. |
Which makes me think she’s been told not to say anything. This is an active investigation and I’m sure she’s being advised by people within it. Tour is supposed to resume on Thursday in London but that seems like a big question right now. There is a lot going on behind the scenes and it’s likely that is the reason for her not speaking yet. |
I think it’s going to come out later how Taylor supported some of the efforts in Austria that gave fans “freebies“ and how she supported businesses that allowed them to do so. (fans that showed proof of their Austria tickets were able to get items from different businesses for free and the days following the cancellation). She does a ton behind-the-scenes to support charities, etc. in each country she goes to. Each city makes millions in revenues from the shows- tourism- so a huge loss for Vienna with that regard. Taylor will speak when she can. That’s one thing I think we all know for sure. Her connection to her fans is one of her major strengths. She actually joined the live feed of the fans, singing together on the streets and Vienna – which was pretty damn cool |
What? The local government is working with Taylor’s team and the venue. Venue has already said they’re not going to allow any fans outside the stadium who do not have a ticket… to congregate like in past shows. |
| I don’t know what she’s expected to say. She cancelled the concerts. Enough said. |
| On the list of shitty things that happen in the world every single day. This doesn’t even crack the top 20,000+ you sound silly. Go out and buy yourself something shiny and get over your little tragedy. |
Ask your kid, does it feel normal to have lockdown drills? Probably because they have done it since preschool. This was just a bomb threat by a teenager. Just because violence cancelled something people look forward to doesn’t really make it anymore horrible than everyday violence kids face in schools. Bomb threats, active schooler threats, drills etc. I do hope that whenever your child’s school is cancelled for death threats, or a bombing threat, you have the same level of understanding for your child and the staff at the school that you are showing Taylor. Same crap, different venue, why does it feel different to you? |
NP. Hyperbolic much? This IS different regardless of who the artist is. This wasn’t a drill, and it wasn’t some prank bomb threat that schools deal with. Active shooters never give a warning so don’t go there with me. The difference here is that my child didn’t save for a year to afford a ticket for a show that for many was in a different country they had to travel a great distance to get to, that took hours upon hours of labor to set up for, that had many people defending on the income from things like car services, vendors outside the stadium, etc. You can’t be this dense. Those two things aren’t comparable. Doesn’t mean that they both aren’t important. |
| This wasn’t just some Teen threatening to blow up a concert. This is ISIS. She has 5 more European shows. Of course she isn’t saying a freaking word! |
