Taylor Swift Vienna Leg Cancelled

What on earth does YOUR opinion on her popularity have to do with a confirmed planned terrorist attack causing a cancellation by the government? It wasn’t canceled for lack of ticket sales.

A very pollyanna take, and not realistic at all. It takes multiple days to set up her stage/set. She has hundreds of dancers/crew/band/etc that have a contract for certain dates. Stadiums/venues get booked years in advance. You don't just pick a random date in a random country.

That is the question- the refunds are apparently coming from the original ticket distributer to the original buyers. Then those buyers who charged 10x (who have probably already spent all that money) will need to refund their buyers. Good luck folks.

No, what I meant is that her team does research and finds a new location…just like they do every time they add dates to a tour and then have it somewhere that can accommodate it and the tour. Have you never heard of adding dates to a tour? She even has added concerts to her tour. Vienna might not be able to accommodate it but I am sure some city can add a couple concerts.

Rescheduling cancelled concerts or adding new concerts happens on pretty much every major tour. It is expected by the industry and they deal with it. Artists get sick, they have family emergencies, they have weather events, they have a wide number of things that can happen that lead to a cancelled concert. It is nNot some rare I heard of thing. Her team and the event team will figure it out just like they do anytime a concert gets cancelled.

I think it's both incredibly sad and amazing work from law enforcement. I am in awe of how they can find out those terrorists and stop them before they act.

Terrible that two terrorists ruined an opportunity for hundreds of thousands of people. Stop male violence now!

Has anyone really considered whether or not Taylor wants to add additional shows? In the past month 2 stalkers have been arrested near her concerts, a separate man arrested for making threats against Travis Kelce at one of her concerts. Then the stabbing of children in England last week at a Taylor Swift themed dance class, now this. Can you imagine if all of that happened to you in a short period of time how messed up you would be? Just because she has stalkers and threats on a regular basis doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect her mental health. She’s a human being.

I said a couple pages back she might have zero interest in adding more dates after having a credible terror threat uncovered. This is probably incredibly hard on her as a human being.

Swifties in Vienna have been congregating all day on Cornelia Street (IYKYK) downtown singing her songs, trading bracelets, etc. some local churches have been playing Taylor’s music all day so people can have a safe place to go and listen together.

Combined with the knife attack in England, I think this may cause a second and third look at whether or not the Wembley shows go on. I bet she is a nervous wreck.

+1 She sounded heartbroken after the England kid killings. Poor woman. She's got a good heart and there's too many crazies out there after her.

I have seen very little security or police presence compared to other European cities but I’m glad they thwarted this attack. Swifties will be ok. I prefer my kids to focus on the heartbreak of missing the concert over the fear of what could have taken place. They don’t need that kind of anxiety.

I’m so sorry. I traveled to another European city for the concert and I would have been devastated to be in your shoes. You have a great attitude, though, and I hope you make the best of your trip!

Get a grip lady.

Some of you reveal yourselves to not be experience people. This would be like the people who fly across the world to see a full eclipse and it gets rained out and they see nothing. It’s not an experience you can replicate. And before you act like live music doesn’t matter, it’s up there with religious ceremonies in terms of how it moves people collectively. There ARE historically huge and important music shows, this is one of them, and it’s perfectly normal for people to feel devastated that they’ll miss it. They’re not saying they won’t get over it or don’t agree it could’ve been worse but it is normal to be sad about it!

I am not a TS fan mostly because I think she is a bad role model. She didn’t cancel the show, nor did the government, the company who sponsored the show did (at least publicly) per The NY Times.

Also, if she wanted to make it up to the fans, she should do a tiny desk/zoom concert and send it out to the buyers of the tickets. Of course, it would be blasted wider, but it would at least so some good will and non-moneymaking strategy from her.

I’m so so sad. This was going to be the big event of the summer for me and my daughter. Canceled our flight today. This world is so shitty.
