It is very un-Taylor that she has not made a statement yet. There is more to this. I am guessing she has been instructed not to for security purposes or she is not playing the next run of shows in London and needs to get details in order before cancelling.
I am a little surprised as well. In addition to the legal aspect, I think we need to remember that she’s human and her life was threatened as well. Yes, she’s a celebrity+++ but that can’t ever feel normal to someone. I hope she is doing well emotionally.
Ask your kid, does it feel normal to have lockdown drills? Probably because they have done it since preschool. This was just a bomb threat by a teenager. Just because violence cancelled something people look forward to doesn’t really make it anymore horrible than everyday violence kids face in schools. Bomb threats, active schooler threats, drills etc. I do hope that whenever your child’s school is cancelled for death threats, or a bombing threat, you have the same level of understanding for your child and the staff at the school that you are showing Taylor. Same crap, different venue, why does it feel different to you?
NP. Hyperbolic much? This IS different regardless of who the artist is. This wasn’t a drill, and it wasn’t some prank bomb threat that schools deal with. Active shooters never give a warning so don’t go there with me. The difference here is that my child didn’t save for a year to afford a ticket for a show that for many was in a different country they had to travel a great distance to get to, that took hours upon hours of labor to set up for, that had many people defending on the income from things like car services, vendors outside the stadium, etc. You can’t be this dense. Those two things aren’t comparable. Doesn’t mean that they both aren’t important.
