Re-entering the dating scene. Are brazilian waxes an expectation now?

What also bothers me is that it's a trend that came from porn. Porn stars were always looking for a new kink and it made them look like children.

Don’t do it. You know, it isn’t just your face that wrinkles and sags with age.

Let’s be real. A hetero man with the typical male sex drive isn’t turning away the untamed jungle, either. Maybe it’s not his ideal, but there are probably things about his body that aren’t his partner’s ideal, either.

Untamed jungle = being sent into the shower with a razor

No one would send me the f anywhere. I'd toss that mf to the street.

Porn stars were not the impetus behind this. It's men who wanted to see them more clearly.

You are wrong. Porn stars did in fact start the trend - just like acrylic nails.

As long as it doesn’t look like an afro you should be good.

Except laser reduces the hair. They explicitly tell you that laser is about hair reduction and not full hair removal.

You get the same effect from doing Brazilians consistently. And the problem with laser is that you can never wax in between; you can only shave.

Some of us don’t want coochie stubble and can afford to get Brazilians regularly.

If a man rejects me in the basis of any of these things - he’s totally not the guy for me.
I like a guy who is groomed and clean. Waxed? I have never encountered a waxed man. Ever.
Now facial hair on men - I hate it. They don’t have to wax their genitals but I prefer a clean shaven face. Radical?

Thanks but we don’t need your strawman equating waxing to “tattoos…fake nails…[and] fake eyelashes.”

We all know these are dog whistles.

Many women like to wax because they prefer it; it’s not because they are trashy (your implication) or because they’re trying to fulfill some F-ed up creepy fantasy.

I don’t want bedsheets full of pubic hair. That’s disgusting. And when I have my period and/or have a BM, I like to be able to fully clean the area.

Sorry you’re gross.

Pubic hair is there for a reason. It's just to protect your genitals from STDs probably and infection like yeast infections but I would not call it. Disgusting to have pubic hair. It's a natural part of our bodies.

All this shaving and waxing, which yes indeed is prompted by porn, is why the colon cancer rates have skyrocketed. The hair is there for a reason. Shaving/waxing/whatever vanity ritual....look at the stats on colon cancer.

What?? What does hair removal down there have to do with colon cancer?! I’d think it has way more to do with the ultra processed food we eat and microplastics…

Men need a little shrubbery trimmed up.

Utter nonsense.

Yup. And all that pulling of delicate skin (when the hot wax is ripped off) just makes the sagging and wrinkling worse.

I dont think I'd do this. I mean, does it get old and weird looking down there like everything else on my body is?I like having some hair to hide things.

Didn’t Joan Rivers have a bit on this back in the day?
