+1.

Although at least the religious fanatics acknowledge their religious motivations.

Are you responding to your own post? Didn't think anyone would respond to such a stupid statement.

Dp and I agree with the pp’s. Sorry you can’t see what’s happening. Or don’t want to.

Ok drama queen. There was a serious if pathetic insurrection attempt but civil war? Please.

You have your analogy all wrong. The forced birthers are the fascists, not the pro choice voters.

Laws against abortion don’t force women to be pregnant.

American Catholics have mostly gone woke.

Maybe they always were, like any reasonably kind human being?

Indeed, Christ was the original social justice warrior. With the crazy ideas that the weak and powerless should be protected. Today All people are fighting about is simply if a fetus deserves protection. Some people say yes and others say no.

Christ cared about His Father’s kingdom and the equal treatment of all people.

Social justice is something different entirely. Unborn babies are the least among us.

And a fetus is not viable, so is not even among the least among us.

Are you speaking for Jesus? You are saying Jesus didn’t think the least among us were unborn human babies? Because you know Jesus had the opinion that unborn babies weren’t viable so He didn’t include them as being worthy of love.

God creates us, we are loved by God.

Luckily we are not a theocracy. Keep your religion out of our laws.

Also did it ever occur to you to wonder why any god would let more than half of fertilized eggs naturally die off before they gestate into babies if that god saw them as something sacred? If you believe there’s a soul and a real human being from the moment of fertilization that means the afterlife is going to be filled with more souls who never experienced the earth than those who did. Weird. But then again maybe that’s the preferred shortcut to get to eternity. Why suffer on this earth when you can immediately party with Jesus. Maybe spend your token figuring out those quandaries and leave the rest of us alone.

The PP you responded to is obviously another Christian Nationalist maga.

Pregnancy is a natural process. Your body isn’t “forcing” you to become pregnant. Are you mad that your own body “forces” you to become pregnant by natural processes?

If someone accepts the “forced birth” narrative, they must accept that:

-women don’t know how babies are made

- women are not smart enough to prevent pregnancy

Our bodies "force" us to experience natural processes all the time, including horrible ones such as heart attacks. Obviously certain natural processes are ideally avoided, but calling it "forced" is ludicrous.

Your body “forces” you to poop and pee everyday; your body “forces” you to eat food and drink water daily, your body “forces” you to seek shelter from the elements, so you don’t freeze to death or dehydrate or get heatstroke in summer.

Control over your body and life can be accomplished by not having unprotected sex with someone who you don't want to raise children with.

That makes sense, because I heard the “nones” were taking over.

People who don’t identify with a specific religion and do not identify as atheists are considered “nones.”

The anti-Catholic posters have made the leap from the religion forum to the political forum.

Yes, Joe Biden is Catholic. So is Nancy Pelosi. Pointing out moderate Catholics does not change who the Supreme Court is.

Yes, it’s service-orientation which is driven home in Catholic education but for a clear purpose. Services alone won’t do it. It is the educational credentials that make the difference in how powerful they can become.

I am not Catholic but I am tired of all the transgender and gay talk.
I can see some moderate people loosely supporting Catholics.

SCOTUS will take care of that. After they get the Presidency and Congress squared away that will be easy.

DP. I don’t mind seeing less of Pride/queer/ trans symbols and hearing less talk and maybe not having a gay person in every movie?
At the same time I support gay narriage.

Are you paying attention at all. This is about way more that abortion bans. The protections of roe extend to birth control, fertility treatments like IVF, the entire women's healthcare system. The voters intend to get the state out of their business where it simply does not belong.
