Those are not "white supremacist" concepts. As an example, the West African Empire of Mali had a Constitution and codified civil laws 800 years ago, long before the white man colonized, as a system of accountability and right and wrong. Elders and griots taught right and wrong and family values. Tribal circles would hear and adjudicate crimes and allegations in the way that courts and juries do today. There were many systems in place throughout Africa long before the white man. It is really strange and frankly displays a bigotry of low expectations for people to suggest those are all purely alien inventions of the white man that were imposed on Africa or that blacks somehow shouldn't be part of it. The way that the white man did it was different, but the concepts are not. |

This will work better than wrap around services. I can't find the reference, but remember seeing that a small number of bad people actually commit most of the crimes. Leaving the bad people in their communities harms the good people who live there, and degrades the culture of the community as a whole. Get kids who commit violent crimes out. I guarantee you they terrorize smart kids and make it harder to excel in school. Break up the drunk/high loiterers on the street. They suppress the economic vitality of the neighborhood. |

It's responsibility is to "establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity". That's the US Constitution btw. Nothing in there about backstopping citizens cradle to grave. |

The framers wrote that and left it intentionally broad, and it encompasses a whole range of thing of benefit to the nation as a whole, such as schools and education, infrastructure, social programs and so on.
