GA is down bad right now

So many things nowadays just feel like people supporting cults with no critical thinking or being able to just look at things objectively with zero emotion.

There's two leagues, they both provide platforms and opportunities for kids to play. Sure, one has higher level teams but that's not to say there's zero quality in the other. Both leagues have top performing teams and lesser ones.

Even in a scenario where say GA happens to go under. The winner there would only be people who have prayed on its downfall for nothing other than wanting to feel validation that their opinion is correct. The loser's are children that just want to play soccer.

Well said and unless your kid is in the first 11 (first 13 to be kind) of a successful ECNL team you are bashing your potential alternative options when you realize at u17 that your kid has not improved, has not played any significant minutes in 4 years, and you were bragging about her "playing" ECNL because....?? You are the ones who benefit most from an alternative league. Plus if GA folded, we're seeing it now, there are always 4-5 girls on the top GA teams that could and will 100% supplant a current ECNL player on 90% of the teams in the DMV, so don't be so quick to bash GA or celebrate its demise. My kid "plays" at an ECNL club and I find myself on here defending GA, mainly to save the people looking for real information and not misinformation and league bashing

Are parents really using the line "my kid plays ECNL/MLS Next to impress anyone? I keep seeing that written here but have yet to encounter anyone utter that IRL. I doubt my friends and colleagues have ever heard of any of these organizations. Nor would they be impressed by them.

Some ECNL parents actually do. But usually when you ask them which club their kid plays for they start getting evasive.

Parents from ECNL teams that win a lot say the club their kid plays on first and rarely mention the league unless asked.

Winner's don't concern themselves with what others think. It's everyone else that seeks out that validation any other way that they can

DM: Lonestars @LonestarSC will be joining the ECNL league Texas conference as an RL club to start, with the hope of joining ECNL full time. Another GA club leaving for ECNL

-Club Coach

#CSTruth That’s another major blow to girls academy.

Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home with the prom queen.

Nationals and LoneStars fielded 2 GA teams in each age group. These defections are worse than they originally seemed. GA is steadily losing good clubs to ECNL, and seems to be back filling with lower ranked, mediocre clubs.

Will be interesting to see if Nationals will be allowed to field 2 teams in the ECNL. If not, then it's likely those "second" GA teams will be placed in the ECNL-RL. And from a competition POV, this is certainly going to help continue to prop up the level of the ECNL-RL.

Spoken like an RL parent, next.

Maybe. ECNL bubble parent actually just keeping an eye on these developments and rapidly losing interest in the GA, tbh.

I ain't going around bragging about what league my kid is in or which winning team she's on since she's #17 on the depth chart and doesn't currently contribute much.

RL parents should not be happy. GA girls taking their kids slots.

What is the GA doing with these adds? These clubs are B-A-D.

If you look at it, is it just about adding numbers to stay the same financially?

Clubs Added:
1. Liverpool SoCal
2. SYC
3. VA Revolution
4. Seattle Celtic
5. Westside Metros FC
6. Oregon Premier

Clubs Lost:
1. Nationals Blue
2. Nationals Gray
3. Colorado Rush
4. Ukrainian Nationals
5. Lonestar Red
6. Lonestar Black

It’s truly shocking the talent level across the clubs the GA is adding. And anyone still trying to say they are a top league is just ignorant.

The GA is selling a hoax of a marketing prop for these clubs to try and increase their brand standing using the ruse of the GA as a sometime quoted “top female league”

Silliness
