Widespread looting in Philadelphia right now

LOOTING. IS. NOT. ABOUT. BEING. HUNGRY.

It is a crime of opportunism.

How about you go watch the "Meatball" livestream... that dumb idiot livestreamed herself going from store to store looting up until she was surrounded by police getting arrested.

It was not about being hungry. Any of you still saying that after this is either an idiot or is doing a poor job of trolling.

Of course it’s not about being hungry in THE MOMENT you dummy.

People don’t organize en masses to get dinner. Looting and rioting are boiling points of accumulated anger over desperate conditions for a LONG and sustained period of time.

This is seriously the dumbest right wing trolling I’ve seen in a while.

You're ignoring what's going on.

Nice try in an attempt to deflect the crazy in the Democratic party.
This is the exact sentiment of the left wing of the Democrats.

I know people attacked our Capitol and we did not open fire on them. #simplertimes

Ashli Babbitt would like a word. But, she can't because she was shot dead.

WTF? This is crazy. All the people arrested and released will be looting again tonight, and tomorrow, and the next day.
We need more prisons. Honestly, that's the only solution at this point. This entire population of criminals should be swept up and locked away. They have no value-add to society.

We don’t have space for them.
That is what restorative Justice is actually about.
It’s about keeping people out of prisons that can’t hold them.
We have more people
We need more prison space.
Who wants to live near a prison?

Great. How do we support construction for more prisons? I'll donate.

Well in America, we have this concept called "innocent until proven guilty," which requires you to have something called a "trial" to determine what we call "guilt." Until then, they are not "criminals," as they have not been convicted of any crime.

I'm not sure how you have gone this long not knowing these very basic concepts, perhaps you are new to our country? If so, maybe consider relocating to a country that better reflects your values, where indiscriminate and indefinite detention without a trial is normal. I'd suggest North Korea.

Please explain WTF a trash piece written by the garbage NYP has to do with this? Other saying our prisons haven’t gotten enough of a “third world festering blister of misery” theme about them?

Yeah, this is stupid. They are all on video looting, stealing, vandalizing and committing crimes. All were arrested while trying to escape stores with goods in hand. The above sentiment is why a) crime continues and b) criminals are often repeat offenders. Lock them up. Throw away the key. We do not need these people on the streets, as they are a danger to our communities.

It's called BAIL. Welcome to reality. This is not new. This is not exclusive to any political party.

Crimes of opportunity are not going away
The opportunity is only getting greater.
It’s easy for 1,000 of anonymous people to organize online
There is no stopping it.
No one is there to stop it.
You would need a literal army prepared to stop it.
