The point is that these two topics--looters and migrants--triggers something at a practically cellular level in Republicans. It enrages and engages them in a way that practically nothing else does. And they will continue feeding you these images because it gets them votes. It's one of the oldest tricks in the political playbook. And it works.

And one would think that if you lived in the inner city, you’d notice the lack of policing and might be bothered by that.

All 3 of the police depts. you referenced are currently understaffed. They do their jobs. There just aren't enough of them to cover all the crime in these cities.

I'm the PP. Retailers also will raise prices to cover the looting losses and theft loss to try to remain open. It means higher prices for the honest law abiding residents.

One of the drivers of inflation is theft and looting.
