Probably the support the OP is looking for.

My husband is nine years younger than I am, handsome, and a former college athlete who definitely has not let himself go. When I met him, his bank account was the last thing on my mind and I haven't thought about it much since. After he finished grad school he took a lifestyle job instead of one with a big salary. We're very middle-class and our life would be different in a lot of ways if he'd taken the high salary. I've never had a moment of regret. People in this thread have said that money solves a lot of problems, and I'm sure that's true, but having a hot young husband makes your life so enjoyable (so VERY enjoyable) that many problems either don't come up or don't seem to matter.

I feel like women still face a lot of stigma for prioritizing looks and attraction the way that I did, but it worked out for me. In a long-term relationship, physical connection matters a lot. We've been together for 15 years and married for 13; many of my friends who gave me a hard time about how young he was or how I was only dating him for fun (admittedly true at the very beginning) are now divorced or complain about their husbands constantly. A bank account can't pick you up and carry you to the bedroom.

What are you going to do when you are 60 and he’s 51 and enters midlife crisis ? I’ve known couples like that most divorced by then

I don't think a midlife crisis is very likely for him. He has always been a wise and grounded person (remember, this is a guy who was considered relationship material by a 34 year old when he was 25).

A good man is better than both.

I mean sure but that's not really the topic of the thread.

I saw a documentary a while back where researchers found that women’s minds tend to interpret a rich guy as attractive well beyond what he objectively looks like. If that is so, this is sort of a loaded question, as it is a tendency for women to find even moderately good-looking rich guys quite attractive.

Man here - it's not for me to say whether or not I'm "hot," but when my wife and I met I was working in a low-paying job and had no prospects to speak of. (I ended up getting it together and now have a stable middle-class job, but it was not a given that that would happen.) But from the beginning we were and still are very physically attracted to each other. So, she seems to have cared a lot more about physical attraction than she did about money.

I think attraction is a big deal for a lot of people, men and women. There is probably more concern about money on this forum than there is in other communities, or among other types of people.

Men want women they can build with from the start, when both are in their 20s and broke.

Top men can view women who are hunting for a rich man as akin to finish line greeters during a marathon. You weren't running the race with them, but you're waiting at the finish line after all the hard work has been put in. You didn't run the race with them, fading and getting a second wind, going through the valleys and running the hills, but you want the gold medal.

Something to consider.

That’s just not the case; look at number of second marriages where the marathon runner first wife was “upgraded” to a younger wife right at the finish line.

Another delusional post from a woman. Go to LA or Miami and you will see otherwise.
