Is Brianne Nadeau really in trouble?

There haven't? You obviously haven't lived in the neighborhood very long.

So what? She took advantage of a city-wide program that is available to everyone else and she advocated for herself.

Exactly the point made on this thread why #NadeauMustGo. She’s really bad at her job. So what? She’s in it for herself. So what? She doesn’t care about the quality of life in Ward 1. So what?

Read the WaPo article. At the time shd got the $$$ she didn’t qualify for that money any longer and she pulled the government card. No one else can get that nor did anyone get her help to get anything like it. So there. Prima facie unclean hands. Out!

This seems very simple to me. Nadeau negates every difficult to solve issue she should be working on, like crime. She only tackles performative stuff.

That is because this Ward 1 job isn’t a public service to her; it’s her livelihood to support her lifestyle because she’s not qualified to make more money or be in a leadership position anywhere else. So she’ll fight with everything she has. And no she won’t meet the constituents because that would mean engaging with real issues.

In 2020 she made over $140,000 before benefits, perks and stands to make closer to $200k per year. The plan is not to serve Ward 1, the plan is to hold on to the paycheck for dear life and not rock the boat. That’s how I see it

Pander she will, for the paycheck

My wife and I just voted for Sabel. No way could you pay me to vote for Nadeau. And definitely not for Salah. Anyone who either hired or didn’t know his campaign staffer was a Trump MAGA is incompetent.

I think you are a Nadeau supporter trying to split the vote. But you’re not wrong about Nadeau

Elissa Silverman is sending out SOS messages about Brianne. She must be in trouble.

If you’re referring to me at 18:33, you couldn’t be more wrong. I’ve lived in Columbia Heights for over 20 years. I’m invested in this neighborhood. Brianne has got to go.

I would imagine that the type of voters who are voting for Sabel would never vote for Salah. It's probably hurting Brianne more. Some of her volunteers were getting into very heated conversations with voters yesterday about Sabel vs Brianne. I also heard another volunteer say that the Something in The Water festival is "pro-gentrification"

I’d prefer a ranked voting or non-party direct vote in local elections. But as it is, it doesn’t help to split the vote. I’m really glad to hear that we might be able to enact change. People of all races and income levels are deeply unhappy with what’s happened under Brianne.

I agree

Get out the vote. Talk to the neighbors. I just can’t fathom how many people, and especially young people, we’ve already lost to violence this year. It’s a tragedy.

Brianne will say: doesn’t count, it was a half a block away. No, still no decline in the quality of life (or limb).

How ‘bout now? Nothing. Still all good? Defund. Yeah?

Undecided people. Please get out and vote. #NadeauMustGo
