I would love someone to confirm that. She takes a selfie everywhere but she was not seen on the scene (maybe much later) and appended the police video we all got. It’s in her psychology to put in a proof of life because she’s known to be MIA so I wouldn’t have expected a selfie (but would put it past her) but would have expected an original video.
The big question is: what did she do with the briefing? Are we any better off that she was there? Will anything change? He’ll, no. She’s already using it to low key point out that MPD is useless full well knowing that had the MPD done anything to stop any of this before the shooting, there would have been all sorts of anti-MPD diatribes. As it were, they secured the space after a child died in a tragedy and for the first time in a very very long time it was a quiet night and it was safe to walk in the sidewalk from ATVs. To illustrate how disenfranchised the MPD is, ATVs roared through the crime scene and the police could do nothing but close off the barricades. They tried a few more times. It’s pathetic. Don’t blame the police, this one is on us. |

Nadeau introduced the bill that led to this being normalized in DC. Any legislation needs to be measured, balanced and address the things that will inevitably fall out as the result. They did none of that. And here we are.
