Is Brianne Nadeau really in trouble?

Salah Czapary’s Old Police Academy Instructor Doesn’t Think He’s Ready for the Ward 1 Council Job

Oh wow. Even the City Paper couldn't make this into a hit piece---all they could do was create an inflammatory headline. The instructor is peeved that Czapary could not approve her for the retirement position she wanted, even though the applicable regulations prohibited him from doing what she wanted.

+1. I saw this article earlier this morning while doing some very last minute research on Czapary and couldn't believe how thin it was. Is that really all they got?

She has never gotten over 50% in any of her races, but still wins.

Salah ran on an obvious, but lamentable, platform: crime. What did Sabel run as? Brianne lite. That was it right there.

Reason No. 4988880 why we need jungle primaries, at the very least. Public officials should not repeatedly win when more people vote against them than for them. Brianne is 2 for 2 in that department.

This is not true. She beat Jim Graham with 59% of the vote.

Like the other poster, you seem to have forgotten about her first term in which she beat Jim Graham with 59% of the vote in the primary. This is her second re-election campaign, but her third Council campaign.

By the time Brianne beat him, Jim Graham had morphed into a vengeful corrupt pol who was close to indictment. I, like many of my Ward 1 neighbors, supported Brianne simply because she WASN’T Graham. And we have regretted that vote ever since. I will vote for whatever independent runs against her.

Hood luck Ward 1.

You’re going to need it.

Between her and Charles Allen, I can't tell which one I dislike more as a Councilmember.

Just a reminder to all the people saying Salah has great LGBT+ policies, the capital stonewall democrats chose to endorse Nadeau over Salah. As did the GLAA (gay and lesbian activists alliance).

They gave Nadeau a 9.5/10 on LGBT rights/support, while they gave Salah a horrible 4/10.

Just because someone is gay, doesn’t mean they’ll help or support the gay community.

Just look at log cabin republicans! They just got banned from the texas republican convention with a statement that homosexuality has is a perversion, and they still support the republicans there! It’s honestly quite pathetic.

That’s Salah partnering with far-right think tank Claremont Institute that hates the LGBT community.

So happy he lost, and hopefully next time we’ll have a real democrat run against nadeau.

So she's 1 for 3 in not getting outvoted. That's a good thing? I'd argue the opposite.

I’m arguing for accuracy. Bowser is currently below 50% as well. Does that bother you?

Yes, just as Nadeau getting consistently outvoted should bother you.

Lol! Keep scratching your heads and posting here and wondering why Nadeau won.

Maybe next time work harder organizing and less time complaining online and you would’ve realized that throwing your numbers behind a Republican cop was a terrible choice
