The FBI has confirmed through bank account records that Manafort received the payments listed in the ledger, and his lawyers didn't challenge its veracity at trial.

At a minimum there were emails between Biden family members talking about cashing in on Biden's VP status to rake in the money for the family, with references to Biden himself and at least one email discussing how they needed to keep the conversation "clean" by being careful not to directly copy Biden etc cetera.

In short, the Bidens were trying to do what the Democrats accused the Trump clan of doing...
