The Laptop

This is very biased and one-sided reporting. I am certain The Laptop has many things it would like to say in its own defense or interest. Why is Fox News anti-The Laptop?

How George W. Bush scored big with the Texas Rangers
https://publicintegrity.org/politics/how-george-w-bush-scored-big-with-the-texas-rangers/

… Bush and his partners bought the team on April 21, 1989, for $86 million. To scrape together his $500,000 stake in the Rangers, Bush borrowed the money from a bank in Midland where he once was a director. He owned 1.8 percent of the Rangers. (He later invested an additional $106,302).

Later, Bush’s partners rewarded him by upping his ownership stake in the Rangers, giving him another 10 percent of the team.

“He had a well-known name, and that created interest in the franchise,” Tom Schieffer, the Rangers’ former president, said last year. “It gave us a little celebrity.”

… the new owners threatened to move the team out of Arlington, Texas, sending local officials scurrying to put together a deal they couldn’t refuse. Under the resulting agreement, the taxpayers of Arlington would raise $135 million, the bulk of the cost of construction, through a hike in sales taxes. Between the sales-tax revenue, state tax exemptions and other financial incentives, Texas taxpayers handed the privately owned Rangers more than $200 million in public subsidies. Taxpayers didn’t get a return from the stadium’s surging new revenues, either. The profits went almost exclusively to the team’s already wealthy owners.

… In 1998, the Rangers sold for $250 million, three times what Bush and his partners had paid 10 years earlier. The new stadium and the real estate around it greatly boosted the final sale price. And, since his partners had upped Bush’s stake in the team from 1.8 to 11.8 percent, his cut from the proceeds of the sale was $14.9 million, a 25-fold return on his investment of $606,302.

Why has this not been investigated?

Why would this be investigated?

Don't get me wrong, it's gross, but there's nothing criminal here. This is our economic system. If you don't like it, vote in a lot more Elizabeth Warrens and Katie Porters. And don't let your idiot neighbors vote to raise funds for a stadium for millionaires.

I prefer devoted people who do not pretend to be other races. Joe Biden son should still be investigated Ashard Joe Biden a quick pro quo. It’s obvious they were some shady dealings with Ukrainians and that’s why they tried to prosecute Trump so they can cover it up and create a narrative. Anybody with any sense sees that

Huh?

The investigation of the president's son began under Barr.
It continues today. Question is - will the investigation be complete and unbiased given this administration?

Given what’s on that laptop in photos alone, any civilian would be in jail. But we had the alphabets covering for other alphabets child porn crimes, which speaks volumes.

The laptops are totally fake. This is why the FBI and law enforcement are done with them. The FBI should go after the people who created and disseminated this hoax.

Yet there were no indictments then, nor in the 2 years since. And even today there are huge gaps in what can be corroborated, and the most questionable ones that have been corroborated have their own issues, like Tony Bobulinski, who was pushing the "Big Guy" ones while having his own serious fraud problem along with the questions about his "evidence" which included photos of iPhone text message screenshots shown on an old Blackberry with a cracked screen which was connected to a Russian cellphone network at the time the photos were taken.

The Daily Mail claimed this week that forensics experts had verified the authenticity of messages and images in a laptop containing lurid details of Hunter B****'s private life.

The Post claimed that the materials from the laptop indicated that Joe Biden had been compromised by his son's business dealings in Ukraine, where he was on the board of the energy firm Burisma.

Amid doubts about the authenticity of the information and briefings from US intelligence agencies that it was likely part of a Russian disinformation campaign, Facebook and Twitter introduced measures to stop the Post's story from being shared on the platforms.

But the Daily Mail said that the laptop was indeed Hunter B****'s and that it had obtained 103,000 text messages, 154,000 emails, and more than 2,000 photos from a copy of its
hard drive

The Daily Mail said the contents were verified by cyber forensics experts at Maryman & Associates, a California company that says on its website that it has 20 years of experience.

The Daily Mail said the company had matched the contents with email addresses, contents from an iPad, and an iPhone serial number connected to Hunter B****.

The Daily Mail report came days after the publication of Hunter B****'s memoir, "Beautiful Things," in which he described his struggles with drug addiction.

A spokesperson for Biden's publisher, Simon & Schuster, told Insider that Biden would not be commenting on the report.

And, it seems as if the NYT has now authenticate at least a portion of the contents of the laptop.

Question: Has anyone provided any proof that anything reportedly taken from this laptop is NOT authentic?

(Once again..... I have edited the article and the link above with "Hunter B****" because remarkably, this person's full name is forbidden here,)

Wow your link has been taken down…guess they are trying to avoid liable charges.

🙄 No, PP had to edit the link, adding the asterisks.

Nope turns out NYT did not say the laptops were real. So only right wing media opinion writers are picking up the fake story. The question is why?

When has “this administration” given any indication that it wouldn’t let the FBI and DOJ operate independent of its interference?

Because the mere existence of "the laptop" is somehow a crime.
