The Laptop

Anonymous
It's probably the same crap when Russians tried to hack the Macron campaign - the Russians mixed legitimate emails they pilfered from the campaign with totally fraudulent emails and then dumped them all over the internet and seeded them into the media.

It's pretty much impossible to tell what is real and fake on the laptop. That's how psy-op influence campaigns work - to get you to give up on distinguishing truth from fiction.

OP won't believe you. She doesn't understand what misinformation is or what Russia has been doing.

Yeah. We all said this when this first came out. But some people are still trying to make fetch happen.

Op here.

So, what is this thread to distract from?

Inflation? Gas prices? The border crisis? Other crises happening in this country and around the world?

This is news.
For years now, we have read post after post on here about how the laptop is fake and nothing more than Russian disinformation.
And, now, after 2 years, the NYTimes is confirming it is real.
The owner of the shop where Hunter took the laptop has been demonized and discredited.
Threads have been shut down, deleted, and even the name of the president's son written in its entirety gets the dreaded "Forbidden!" message.
This is news, pp.

Rightly so.

Absolutely not.

When you’re a business owner entrusted with someone else’s property you don’t just go and give it to Rudy Giuliani.

You don't know much about this story.....
The shop owner alerted the FBI and it was turned over to them first. When he heard nothing from the FBI regarding the laptop, he turned a copy over to Giuliani's lawyer.

Photos of a Delaware federal subpoena given to The Post show that both the computer and hard drive were seized by the FBI in December, after the shop’s owner says he alerted the feds to their existence.
But before turning over the gear, the shop owner says, he made a copy of the hard drive and later gave it to former Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer, Robert Costello.

https://nypost.com/2020/10/14/email-reveals-how-hunter-b****-introduced-ukrainian-biz-man-to-dad/

(I had to replace the word "biden" with asterisks in the link above to get around the crazy rules here.)

So again, we are back to when you’re a business owner entrusted with someone else’s property, you don’t just go and give it to Rudy Giuliani. Why did he do that? Because the FBI wasn’t giving him minute-by-minute updates on what they were doing with the so-called evidence he gave them? The FBI… doesn’t do that.

It's trying to distract from the traitors in the GOP, who are voting against sending aid to Ukraine while shedding crocodile tears for Zalensky.

You think it's a coincidence that the rightwing media machine is trying to restart a phony conspiracy about Biden and Ukraine right?

“Appears to come from” is not hard evidence. Also please read up on chain of custody.

Note this line: "The emails and others in the cache were authenticated by people familiar with them and the investigation.

So now you all believe anonymous sources? Cute.

Don't you understand? Anonymous sources that suggest misbehavior by Republicans are liars, slanderers, unpatriotic, and not to be trusted. Anonymous sources that suggest misbehavior by Democrats are, of course, true patriots who are conveying God's honest truth.

Specifically what is in the emails that incriminate JOE Biden? I don't care about Hunter - he was a mess, we all know that.

Yawn.

I’m sorry, why is this news? We knew at least some of the emails were real. Burisma was hacked. Confirming emails still doesn’t prove anything.

I have to laugh at this comment.

So, do you think the New York Times is a "rightwing media machine?"

This is coming to light because THEY published an article about the investigation into Hunter

Cause once a nutter beieves something, there's no amount of facts that prove him or her wrong that will change his or her mind.
It's called DERP.

There is the New York Times of the past (revered paper) and there is today's Times. They have been more than a little sus.

I guess MTG is only worried about Neo-Nazis in other countries, not the ones in the U.S.

No. According to the DCUM "experts," none of this was true. Just Russian disinformation, donchaknow.

And, why is this news?

The emails contain information about Biden's son's foreign business activities. Questionable business activities that make many question if there is corruption here.
Business activities that Joe claims he knew nothing about, yet content on the email proves that statement false.
Around 50 "former intelligence officials" penned a letter saying it was Russian disinformation, a statement which they evidently pulled out of thin air.
Both Joe Biden and Psaki have repeated that lie.
Twitter and others suppressed this story.
These facts, among others, make this a story.

And, why now?
Because this piece came out in the NYT about the investigation:

Hmm.

I'm not going to ask you to do Trump's family members now, because standards are higher than that. But why is this so important now? Is there any reason to think that the sitting president is involved in any way with any of this? Whatever HB did or did not do, whatever he talked about with his dad or whatever, it's not a family business. So why is this a big deal right now?

Was he trying to overthrow our country? If not, OP find a new topic to be outraged about.
