DP.. it was an "ethnic cleansing", not a "racial cleansing'. Ethnicity <> race. |
So 6 million christians were also killed. |

Sharon Osborne was ousted. She said nothing racist, or inappropriate. She simply acknowledged it was pierces opinion that M.M. was lying. And he was entitled to his opinion. As it was during that Oprah interview M.M. was called out on various lies. Which imo vindicated him.
This is 10x worse. However, it is always up to the network, and The view sucks as it is. They are probably enjoying a ratings boost and was probably pre-planned. |
PP here.. you are right though, the Nazis considered Jews as a race. |
Kind of like "indigenous people day"? They all came from Eurasia from a land bridge during the ice age. Before that all humans came from Africa. |
| You would think everyone would not talk about the Holocaust, or Nazis in regards to anything political. Idiots that bring that up during elections, and stupid talk show hosts like Whoopi are beyond help imo. Keep the past in the history books because it's time everyone move on. Just like the people today are not responsible for anything past ancestors did. Nor are they entitled to anything either! |
All holidays are “made up”. |
Now that's funny |

Friendly reminder that this woman's name is Caryn Elaine Johnson, and she appropriated the Jewish name 'Goldberg' in order to get stand up comedy gigs sight unseen in the 80s.

Huh. Interesting take. I guess the joke is on Ruth too, huh? Not to mention Batya, Jethro . . . My guess is you know very little of Torah, or Judaism at all, otherwise you would not make such a statement. All branches of Judaism -- from Orthodox to the most reform, accept converts. |
Yes, an almost equal number of Jews and non-Jews were killed. But the point is that the Holocaust was a stated campaign to exterminate all Jews from the earth, and the Nazi's were successful enough to wipe out ONE THIRD of all living Jews on the planet. There was no such campaign to eliminate Christians as a group or inferior race. Do you understand now? Or do you need some book and documentary suggestions? |
I think it's absurb that you refuse to be illuminated and see that it's not cut and dry like that. |

I find the whole thing interesting because it shows how for the progressive left everything's been reduced to race without acknowledging the nuances within race. No one talks about the enormous disparities among white groups (and among all other racial groups too). Factors like class, religion, ethnicity, and tribalism have been used to systematically oppress people for centuries and millennia, including with brutal cost to human life, in every single society and race. But for the progressive left, to acknowledge all these other crimes of humanity only makes the intense focus on race disparity much more complicated and murky rather than a Manichean white versus black.

Judaism is a religion, not a race. However, the Nazis treated Jews as inferior to the Aryan race, which is a racial concept the Nazi's falsely promoted to the Germans to denigrate Jews and other non-Aryans. I am Jewish, and I am bothered by people who refer to Jews as another race--we're not and that's a holdover from Nazi Germany that doesn't belong in modern rhetoric. I think Whoopi's thoughts sounded better in her head than coming out of her mouth, but she shouldn't have said what she said because from the Nazi's perspective, Jews were a race and their intent was to get rid of them--this wasn't a white on white thing, so she's wrong.
Also, people who waltz around saying "well the Nazis killed other people too" are the same people who say all lives matter and I'm done with it. The Holocaust was a systematic effort to exterminate the Jewish people. That was its primary purpose and yes the Nazis did kill others that did not fit into their Aryan race, but that wasn't why they came up with the final solution. the final solution was the rid the earth of Jews and they did a pretty good job of nearly succeeding. |
| It’s almost like race is a social construct that changes over time and cultures. |
