Is the Geico Nationals even taking place this Spring?

I don't even know if the IAC / WCAC tournament will even take place either.

Why wouldn’t those tournaments happen?

Bullis handled Episcopal once they figured out the zone. It was 7-7 in 3rd but the wheels came off for 14-8 final. Funny listening to Corrigan gush about 33 and 7 on Episcopal as sophomores. My 22 played against both of them for years, including his Freshman year in 2019 when 33 was at Landon and 7 was at SSSAS. Is there an 8 semester rule in the IAC? No way those kids can play their "Senior" year at Episcopal. 7 had a nice game whether you consider him a 22 or 23.

Wasn't it it 8-8 into the 4th quarter? Sounds like the game was much tighter than most had anticipated.

How in the world did Episcopal lose to St. Albans? Maybe St. Albans was missing some kids yesterday but athletically speaking the game wasn't even close against Landon (10 - 0 at halftime)

Regarding the IAC, there hasn't been much enforcement of kids doing 5 years in HS but I'm almost certain what the VA privates is allowed.

I've said this before but both Episcopal and Saint Stephens operate in different ways relative to the MD schools and St. Albans. There are different rules the govern how the MD schools operate vs the VA privates. EHS and SS/SA have been reclassifying kids in the upper school for a number of years now. I remember one year EHS brought in a stud football player from Bishop Ireton after he had played 4 seasons at BI and he didn't sit out a year.

Anyways, I had heard a rumor that 33 from EHS was transferring to GP after this season. If that is the case, he would have to re-classify yet again and join the 2022 class as the state of Maryland only allows kids to participate in 4 years of HS athletics (applies to publics and privates and YES there are exceptions to the rule but its very hard to get an exemption)

It was tight and then Bullis started overloading the zone and the shooters took over in the 4th. It’s almost like Bullis got serious in the 4th as EHS looked solid and then terrible. At first I was like how did they lose to STA? Then you saw that Episcopal team in the 4th.

The IAC tourney will happen. It is the only thing that matters for winning a banner this year. The IAC tourney will happen.

Doubt IAC schools, except Bullis (maybe), will participate in Corrigan's event.

IAC playoffs start next week. They will 100% take place.

The seeds will be finalized after tomorrow's results but GP has locked up the #1 seed

Bullis, under this coaching staff, never ducks an opportunity or a challenger. You can have every excuse in the book but they show up.

Any idea when the next iac games are? Team Twitter pages don’t say.

SSSAS plays Prep tomorrow at 11 am
Bullis and Episcopal were only scheduled to play once, so no Saturday game for them
St. Alban's plays Landon tomorrow at 1 pm

I believe EHS has opted out of the IAC tournament in order to play in the Virginia state playoffs. SSSAS chose to participate in the IAC tournament, and opted out of the Virginia state playoffs.

Why play in the IAC if you are going to opt out of the playoffs?

Time for EHS to leave the IAC and the IAC heads find a new school to enter as a full time member.

Some Excuses are... The tourney is taking place during exam week and the seniors are a week or two past graduation. Not really excuses, but reality. Most schools decisions are made by Athletic Directors and Heads of School, not lacrosse coaches.

Thankfully, the kids played something resembling a season.

Prep is the clear favorite, but they lost to Bullis. Bullis, despite their preseason hype, went 1-1 vs Landon, and StSStA.
How the tournament will play out is anyone's guess.

Agree with you that Prep is the clear favorite.

Bulllis, Landon and St Stephens all seem to be very even with no one truly much better than the other.

Is it for all sports or just lacrosse? EHS has done both in the past so why suggest throwing them out in this very strange year

Will STA even be involved in the IAC playoffs, or is it just reserved for the top 4 teams?

Following is from a VERY reliable source:

IAC tournament is 100%
IAC/WCAC is 60/40 in favor. I know that Prep people want it to happen.
GEICO most likely to happen, and Prep will most likely play in it, unless they lose out the rest of the season.

I don't understand what Casey has on Ty Xanders. There is no reason why Gonzaga should be ranked in the top 25 poll.

Clearly no one from Inside lacrosse has even seen GZ play this Spring because they really aren't that good this Spring and have ZERO quality wins.

They canceled their showdown with cross league rival SJC (TBD if the game will actually be re-scheduled) and had a chance to play Landon in a game but settled for a scrimmage.

I think what Ty knows is the talent on that team. Unfortunately they haven’t put it together.

Having coached/watched a lot of the kids in the 21 and 22 classes. I still can’t believe how PVI took over that game.
