WCAC complete league play May 26 GEICO May 30, 31 @Catholic U IAC/WCAC Championship June 3, 8, 11 Semi/Championship @Catholic U Not sure of specifics of any of these events but looks like an exciting 4 weeks. |
Because it inexplicably bothers people like you. |
No. |
| Bullis handled Episcopal once they figured out the zone. It was 7-7 in 3rd but the wheels came off for 14-8 final. Funny listening to Corrigan gush about 33 and 7 on Episcopal as sophomores. My 22 played against both of them for years, including his Freshman year in 2019 when 33 was at Landon and 7 was at SSSAS. Is there an 8 semester rule in the IAC? No way those kids can play their "Senior" year at Episcopal. 7 had a nice game whether you consider him a 22 or 23. |
| Don’t think Episcopal cares. They have a D pole who use to be a 20’ and played his freshman year at a Loudoun County school. This would obviously be his 5th year since entering HS. Not sure how the IAC lets that fly |
Don't be a jack*** lax dad throwing shade on individual players - no one cares about this history and it is inappropriate. Re: the game itself, pretty entertaining and competitive into the fourth quarter. Hello, if you give players time and room to set their feet they will beat a zone. Episcopal had problems clearing all day, but they do have more talent than I thought before tuning in for the game - everyone of their goals was legit. Bullis played very physical and was more athletic in space and their goalie stole 2-3 goals. |
I just think it’s funny. Corrigan going nuts about 7 being such as savvy player as a sophomore when it’s his 3rd year of HS. I don’t care otherwise. He’s a good player either way. Holding back to pay $50k for a non full ride sport is funny. ROI on that is terrible. At least the 19 year olds playing WCAC hoops and football get full rides. But it’s a free country. Episcopal still sucks, no d at all. I’d take Riverside. |

It's par course for lacrosse.
I would like to see some of the Va. privates play the Va. public (not counting the fall and winter league things). |
| Bullis has shooters. I like them vs a zone all day. |
Don’t get it. |
Held back players are great. |
Wasn't it it 8-8 into the 4th quarter? Sounds like the game was much tighter than most had anticipated. How in the world did Episcopal lose to St. Albans? Maybe St. Albans was missing some kids yesterday but athletically speaking the game wasn't even close against Landon (10 - 0 at halftime) Regarding the IAC, there hasn't been much enforcement of kids doing 5 years in HS but I'm almost certain what the VA privates is allowed. I've said this before but both Episcopal and Saint Stephens operate in different ways relative to the MD schools and St. Albans. There are different rules the govern how the MD schools operate vs the VA privates. EHS and SS/SA have been reclassifying kids in the upper school for a number of years now. I remember one year EHS brought in a stud football player from Bishop Ireton after he had played 4 seasons at BI and he didn't sit out a year. Anyways, I had heard a rumor that 33 from EHS was transferring to GP after this season. If that is the case, he would have to re-classify yet again and join the 2022 class as the state of Maryland only allows kids to participate in 4 years of HS athletics (applies to publics and privates and YES there are exceptions to the rule but its very hard to get an exemption) |
They have in the past. This season with limited schedules makes it tougher. Which matchups would be competitive? |
|
to state the obvious next Spring, Riverside and PVI should play one another given they less than 15 miles apart.
It would be great for Loudon County and for the sport. |
Is the Geico Nationals even taking place this Spring? I don't even know if the IAC / WCAC tournament will even take place either. |
