I too heard some of the transfers that a Bullis brought in last summer are leaving the school after this year for greener pastures.

I can only add that if the past is any indication, lots of Madlax boys end up at Landon, VLC at PVI with a decent representation at SSSA and St Albans. DC express is new to the scene, but I've seen their 2021 team several times now - they are the real deal. Because the Magills run Express and coach Bullis, it would not surprise me if a large contingent of the team end up playing for Bullis.

a 3rd of the kids on the DC Express 2021 team are current Landon 8th graders and I believe they picked up another 1 - 2 kids as well who play for DC Express. I'm sure Bullis picked up some players as well.

I believe several kids on DC Express are also Pyle kids and are headed to Whitman. Hopefully their program will continue to improve and match Churchill.

Wow. If DC express is really becoming a pipeline to Landon and Bullis, then Madlax may be history.

And Next Level might also be nibbling at the Madlax, VLC and Blackwolf market as their coaches are making inroads with a few private schools.

I know at least three DC Express 2021 going to SJC including my DS.

Lets be frank, DC Express is essentially the old Bethesda Lacrosse organization.

Historically Bethesda lacrosse has always sent kids to various private schools in the greater DC area, including SJC, Landon, Bullis, and Gonzaga.

Based on what I have been hearing though parents, former HS players, it does appear SJC and Georgetown Prep are starting to get more kids who would ended up at Gonzaga in the past 4 years. Gonzaga could very well be on the down swing.

LOL. You are either an idiot and a dumb mom. The Mater Dei pipeline changed 4-5 years ago with the rise of Gonzaga's lax profile and the economic downturn. More and more kids from MD ended up at Gonzaga, which has really hurt Prep's lax program. That hasn't changed and won't be any time soon.

Actually the past two graduating classes at Mater Dei have swung back in Preps favor by a wide margin. Prep will be back very soon.

And you are as smart as you sound. Speaks well of Gonzaga.

The MD impact at the HS level is overrated. Most MD students are holdbacks who enjoy a temporary athletic advantage in 7th and 8th because they hit puberty earlier than their peers at other schools. By junior year of HS the advantages of being a holdback are largely gone and thebplaying field is level.

Doesn't matter where Mater Dei kids are going - Prep or GZ - Landon is rolling again next year.

I have often thought the MD Pipeline was oftentimes overrated. No need rehash an old thread about the age of some of MD graduates.

Lacrosse has become a very big sport, there are plenty of very talented kids in both public and private schools. Often times the best individual players are found in the public school ranks and end up in privates for HS.

Landon should be the team to beat again next Spring on paper but I highly doubt they will be as dominant as they were last Spring with the departure of their faceoff man.

Thoughts about 3D how do they compare to Next Level and Madlax 2019 and 2020 teams

Stone Ridge has several 8th grage girls who are very strong players - most are on Stars 2021 blue team. The SR 8th grade team beat the SSSAS 8th grade team this year for the first time ever. Although, to be honest, the three strongest 2021 girls at SSSAS played up on the SSSAS JV team this year. The outcome of the game between the two 8th grade teams would likely have been different if those 3 SSSAS girls had played.

Still, yes, SR has some very strong lacrosse players in the current 8th grade.

Just curious -- where does the Stars 2021 team practice? Only in Virginia? We are in MoCo looking at MS club options for DD and wondering if there are any really good options that don't require going to Alexandria or Baltimore. Thanks in advance.
