Taylor's Swift's new album - let's GOOOOO

I love how the same people calling her boring and phony are so seized on her alleged hot and deeply passionate relationship with that rat-faced singer and psycho-analyzing all of her lyrics allegedly about him. Her entire life is fake. She doesn't know up from down. She's a socially stunted child star weirdo. And she clearly isn't writing all of her songs, she obvi has teams of ghostwriters signing NDAs, so I wouldn't read anything into the babble she sings.

Joe Alwyn has co-written six songs with Taylor Swift under the pseudonym William Bowery: "Exile" and "Betty" from folklore; "Champagne Problems," "Coney Island," and "Evermore" from evermore; and "Sweet Nothing" from Midnights.

He also co-produced several of these tracks, including the folklore album, which won a Grammy for Album of the Year.

folklore: (2020):
"Exile" (feat. Bon Iver)
"Betty"
evermore: (2020):
"Champagne Problems"
"Coney Island" (feat. The National)
"Evermore" (feat. Bon Iver)
Midnights: (2022):
"Sweet Nothing"

What did Matty co-write with TS?

I don’t know if or what Marry co-wrote with Taylor. It sounds like they kept their partnership very hush-hush, likely because it was more than just a professional attachment over the years. He said they collaborated on Midnights. She sang that she keeps her longings “locked in lowercase inside a vault”, and fans are theorizing there might be more songs about or with him on folklore, evermore and reputation that we haven’t heard (all 3 albums are spelled in lowercase). Matty recorded some verses on Sl!t, a song that’s very likely about him, but those were removed when they broke up.

More importantly, he and Taylor used their music to inspire one another and to exchange messages, at times direct questions and answers, such as “But if the story’s over, why am I still writing pages?” (Taylor), and on his next album he would write a song for her and sing, “I think the story needs more pages, yes.” I keep noticing other similar examples in their lyrics, music, and videos and have seen many more on social media.

I feel bad for Joe. She said he was “a miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary” and referred to their relationship as “the slammer.” All while he was allegedly co-writing songs with her on albums about her other love interest 😬 I wonder if he suspected, or if he too fell for her tall tales about fictional characters and made-up love triangles.

I don’t feel too bad for Joe. I get really annoyed at people who are like I don’t want to be in the public spotlight but I’m going to date the biggest celebrity that has ever come on the scene. The one who really likes to engage with her fans and be out there and I’m going tell her how unhappy it makes me and this is going go on for years. Taylor of course needs to own her crap and why she chose that but Joe has always annoyed me because of that.

The other reason I don’t feel too sorry for him is because he made millions off those songs. Producing and writing credits for six songs that have streamed in the billions and billions have made him low seven figures and he will continue to make tens of thousands per year for the rest of his life.

When Joe started dating her the Kardashians were trying to end her career. She plausibly could have ended up where Katy Perry is in her career now and that may have been a level of fame he was comfortable with.

Why is Gabbriette posing like Taylor in the tub? Weird.

Don't know, but she is incredibly off-putting.

She’s gorgeous. The Angelina to Taylor’s Jennifer Aniston (or perhaps the Elizabeth Taylor to her Betty Reynolds). She’s posing like that cause she snatched Taylor’s man but ultimately Matty is no prize so the joke is on her.

Oh, my. You're in deep, aren't you? Gabbri-whatever looks like she needs rehab, immediately.

Oh, I think Gabby is hot. Angelina Jolie type of stunning. But I still prefer Matty w/ Taylor because these two in love make incredible music, eg Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, Being Funny In a Foreign Language…

l find it funny that most of her fans still think Taylor’s best love songs were about Joe Alwyn when it is clear on the albums above she was pining for someone she didn’t have (Matty) and going on secret meetups. Even songs on Lover such as Cruel Summer or Death By a Thousand Cuts for example never made sense to be about a long-term relationship. There is a feeling of secrecy on Reputation too. And then she spelled it all out on TTPD.
Honest question: do people not notice lyrics??

I think we're well past Matty Healy at this point. Old news.

But he inspired 50 (?) of Taylor’s best songs that earned her a billion of dollars and global superstar status. I am fascinated by their love affair and will never find it old news.

We know. You keep bringing it up even though it is very much... old news.

Honestly, loving Matty Heally like this is the ONLY interesting thing she's ever done. Will never find it old news either.

I don’t follow Taylor too closely, but a couple of bad ass things that stand out for me is suing the guy that grabbed her butt at the radio station for a dollar to make a point, and releasing the Kanye and Kim tapes to show that they were lying. I thought those both were pretty cool lol.

As for Matty, I don’t think it’s possible for me to find him less appealing. I truly just don’t get it.

Agree, on all counts! Though I do love his "About You" song.

You just described yourself. And yes - she does indeed write her own songs either alone or with collaborators (Jack Antonoff, Aaron Dessner, Shellback, Max Martin, Bon Iver, etc.) - and she credits them each and every time.

It’s cool that we all find different people attractive. I don’t know the full lore between Matty & Taylor, I just find him captivating. This is exactly how I pictured Mr. Darcy when I read Jane Austen decades ago:

https://www.billboard.com/music/pop/the-1975-matty-healy-tweets-shawn-mendes-harry-styles-8493007/
Witty and sharp, sardonic, somewhat pretentious and at times arrogant…

Another similarity between Taylor and other musicians.

Kanye's "Hell of a Life"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJKNcI6jC6A

and

Taylor's "Ready for It"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T62maKYX9tU

And her lyrics mimic some from Lana.

Back again to push this nonsense?

Are you the one who claims they can’t look at a list of songs Taylor copied because it’s on Reddit? Lmao

Are you the Lana Del Rey stan with nothing but a Reddit thread as your "citation"?

Ah, so you the one who says they can’t look at Reddit for the videos of the similarities between songs. So funny!

The songs are the “citation.”

In Lana's song Blue Jeans the lyrics say - "Blue jeans, white shirt, Walked into the room, you know you made my eyes burn, It was like James Dean for sure"

In Style - "You got that James Dean daydream look in your eye, You got that long hair, slicked back, white T-shirt"

H. Duff be mad because she was talking about James Dean back in 04 “Another James Dean / You’re nothing like him so don’t call me friend /Even when the world stop turning/ There will never be another James Dean

Also in Blue Jeans -" But you fit me better than my favorite sweater"

Reminded me of Cardigan - "When I felt like I was an old cardigan under someone's bed, you put me on and said I was your favorite"

Donny D is also a thief ""Hold your hand the whole damn ride / Yeah, just like my favorite sweater / I guess that I'm yours forever.""

In Lana's song Diet Mountain Dew -" Baby, put on heart-shaped sunglasses" reminds me of Taylor and the heart-shaped glasses in 22.

Born to Die was released in January 2012 and Red in October 2012.

In Lana's song National Anthem - " Reckless abandon, Holdin' me for ransom, upper echelon, He says to be cool, but I don't know how yeť"

In Ready for it - " But if he's a ghost, then I can be a phantom, Holdin' him for ransom"

Oops. Who stole from Blink 182? “Now she’s holding him for ransom”

In Lana's song, Million Dollar Man - "One for the money, Two for the show, I love you, honey, I'm ready, I'm ready to go"

In Champagne Problems - "One for the money, two for the show, I never was ready, so I watch you go"

Big Bang beat them both in 2010 “One for the money, two for the show / We got the party people screamin’ out (hey-ho) Let’s go . and we won't even talk about elvis

I mean, crazy lady with the murder board, is it possible that the lyrics and themes you mention are so common that several artists have written about them? So many, in fact, I could pull all of these off the top of my head. Imagine if I googled.

When a Swift stan can't admit the truth.

She does not credit people every single time or she would have credited Michael Jackson and "I Want You Back" for using his ideas for "Wood" on TLOAS.

Antonoff is over her.

Shellback and Martin are likely over her by now. You can hear how she doesn't listen to Martin and Shellback and talks over them if you listen to her voice memos. If you listen to Ariana and Martin working together, you see a whole different level of professionalism and collaboration.

It's fine. She can be mid and still sell out her stadiums. Her core fans will buy anything at this point--even broken TLOAS hairbrushes and lightning bolt necklaces that break.

The 1975 is so underrated. “About you” is mesmerizing and in my top ten songs ever. “Robbers” (one of the best guitar intros ever),, “When we are together”, “Somebody Else” and “Oh Caroline” are all good- it’s video has a girl dressed in Taylor’s dress from her “Delicate” video doing Taylor’s moves where Matty grows into an old man as he pines for her. There’s no denying that one.

Love Taylor’s music too. I’m sad their secret love affair communicating with lyrics is over. Together they inspired amazing music. And now we get “Wood” and football references in “Fate of Ophelia”. Gross. Take me back to “the 1” and “mirrorball”

About You is a great love song, but imo one of their best and most underrated songs is Looking For Somebody To Love. It’s upbeat and dancy, yet the lyrics are about mass shootings and how loners neglected by society can go on shooting sprees in America. The lyric “a supreme gentleman” refers to Elliot Rodger’s misogynistic and violent ideology.

It’s why people misunderstand Matty - on stage he often makes fun of toxic masculinity, or idiots like Kanye, or right-wingers, sometimes transforming into creepy characters to portray them, so a quick social media video can make him appear weird. He is just…out there with his performance art, but he is very clued in, and his lyrics are intelligent and meaningful.

You keep bringing up her “voice memos.” I have no idea what you’re referencing. But how funny that someone who thinks she’s “mid” and is fixated on baseless, evidence-free claims, knows all about obscure things that most people couldn’t care less about.

You are the very definition of a “core fan,” which must be upsetting for you to acknowledge!

Why is the hater not bringing up the TS songs that sound like or reflect The 1975? There are a few of those too.

Mirrorball and Medicine
The 1 and Robbers
imgonnagetyouback and Looking for Somebody to Love/fallingforyou
They both have a Paris song

Just off the top of my head.
