That is an incorrect hypothesis premised on faulty assumptions. Go back to your rhetorical lab and see if you can do better. Meanwhile others will continue to work towards greater educational equity in FCPS, despite your silly efforts to make yourselves out as victims.

OMG I was right! Really hit a nerve there

Ok, so since you're working towards greater equity, why are you against paying teachers more and building more specialized stem schools?

More like a swing and a miss on your part.

Paying teachers more is a good idea; cannibalizing FCPS with more magnets is not.

Indeed - how exactly would FCPS be cannibalized with more magnets?

So, PP do you have an answer or did you run away now that your duplicity is clear?

Some things are so obvious that they don't really require an answer, but....

FCPS is in no way able to convert to a system composed primarily of magnets geared to every student's particular niche. It's too complicated and between the programs and the transportation costs it would cost a ton. The TJ crowd never lobbied for more magnets until a change in the TJ admissions policy was clearly coming. Previously, they said FCPS would never touch TJ and, at most, some argued the magnet should be closer to Carson, not that there should be more magnets. So the suggestion for more magnets now is clearly deflection. If FCPS had more magnets, structured as TJ is today, it would only weaken the non-magnet schools. The TJ crowd doesn't care about kids at those schools at all.

You really should make an offer to buy out TJ and run a private school for your own snowflakes.

It would cost too much? FCPS could try to stop funding Kendi’s personal retirement plan and use it to fund our children’s education instead.

You know that we were instrumental in turning Virginia blue, and you know that this election is balanced on the edge of a knife. You know what a hot button topic this is for Asians all over the US - it’s the one thing that pushes them away. The only reason you couldn’t have waited until after the election to do this is because you were focused on your personal political gain. These are lifelong democrats voting republican in this crucial election because of you - this is on your head. Yes we see you alright.

Yes, we notice that you’re resorting to rhetoric rather than explaining why you couldn’t wait on this hot button topic until after the election

there was an election- people ran for school board on platforms that included increasing URM representation at TJ. They won and now they are going about doing what they said they would do

You have not resorted to calling children names? Such pitiful hatred. I am confident that they work harder in school than you ever have in your lazy, entitled existence.

You'd have to function on a whole other level of self-centeredness to think people will vote Republican in the 2020 Presidential election in any significant numbers because of a local School Board's position on expanding access to a high school.

Of course, that is exactly how some Asians with kids at TJ function, but it's likely a wash. There are also people voting now because they are finally starting to see their own views represented.

One of the many reasons some minorities (yes. asians are a small minority) vote Democrat is that they feel attacked by perceived Republican anti-immigrant, racist policies. Now the school board is openly attacking Asians for excelling in an open admissions test. Pushing them out at the expense of the white majority and everyone else, they are forced to think more about what's best for the community - including themselves.

I suggest that maybe you are the self-centered/self-serving one.

Eye opener to see how the current local politicians of Virginia are so dismissive of Asians.
