I mean unless he slipped in and disappeared to a life in the middle of nowhere of South America. I doubt it - the kid doesn't strike me as one who knows even un poquito de Espanol and it would take him years to learn. Aside from that I hope they were taken in and charged as accessories to murder after the fact. |
| For those defending the police officers. They are not very observant if they did not notice that Brian established himself as a liar when he said he did not have a cell phone but Gabby did, which was in the van, and then shortly afterwards pulled his cell phone out of his back pocket. |
| I hope he escapes to the Amazon basin where he'll take a swim in the Amazon River. |

Why weren’t the police watching him???
Clearly his family is colluding at least in his escape. It was stupid to trust them. People who kill or raise females are given every possible benefit of the doubt. I am SO over it! |
According to the body cam footage, they had to be separated bc the police were opting to give her a citation instead of arresting her. One of them had to stay elsewhere, since they were living together in the van. Laundrie said they had no money for a hotel. The police referenced an agency called "CK," which apparently puts up victims of domestic violence or pays for their hotel rooms. They didn't call it in for her bc they had determined that she was the abuser/aggressor in the situation, based on his statements, her statements, and witness statements. In hindsight, she may have been better off had they arrested her. |
No, he couldn’t. |
ok so he was a liar. What grounds did they have to keep him or hold him? If she was unwilling to tell them what was going on, ask for help or leave him there was only so much they could have done. She was always going to go back to him. Not blaming her, but the only person to blame for her death is brian laundrie and the choices he made. The cops did they best they could with what they knew at the time. |
He left his parents place (supposedly) on September 1st. They kept stalling her parents until they filed a missing persons report on September 11th. The police couldn't 'watch' him if they didn't know a crime had been committed. Lastly had the parents trusted their guts and filed earlier - they might have located and detained him on the 3rd or 4th before he disappeared or crossed the border. |
| This guy is 23 years old and on the run...how far can he really go? He doesn't seem smart or mature enough to be on his own and running from the police. I hope his parents get what is coming to them. |
Yes, a sad +1000. At least the sexist morons are consistent (I guess that what happens when you subscribe to a total and hierarchical worldview!). You can predict what BS they are going to spout from a mile off. |
What do you mean? This is the best time to run respectively. He’s in the best physical shape of his life, he could take sketchy physical labor jobs to stay off the grid, he has no ties to a specific community, his parents most likely gave him money, he had a headstart of 13 days post-crime to plan and run, hes experienced with living in rough terrain and his DNA isn’t in the system. The only thing better would be military/sniper training. |
I think he is definitely found soon - just don't know whether dead or alive. |
*should read “rape” not raise |
Are you telling me you can’t conduct surveillance from a public vantage point, of the last person to see a missing person alive? Doubt it. Especially given the extremely suspicious timing of the reporting, and his behavior. |
| My guess is the coroner has identified something already that suggests murder even though the media has reported the autopsy won't be performed until tomorrow. With that information, the police have enough information to declare his home a crime scene. |
