AMEN! Sister or brother. Just trying to show the double standard our society has when it comes to crimes between races. In my opinion, all murders are hate crimes and should be dealth with equally.

Thank you! We must not be politically correct just to appease those that might be offended by the truth!

The likeliest answer is that she was covering up that she was stealing.

But if hate was a part of the crime, there could be any number of things that would cause her to hate the victim. The fact that your intuition leads you to choose race from among the many possibilities makes you seem prejudiced. If you have a disagreement with a black co-worker, do you automatically assume that the source of the conflict is race? Of course not.

My point - it does if you're a black co-worker, not the white.

The fact that your intuition leads you to choose other than race from among the many possibilities makes you seem prejudiced against white people.

Why is it that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have been on the seen if it was a white killing a black so brutally?

We don't even know if she knew that Jayna said anything to her about the fact that she discovered some articles of clothing in her bag. They said in the news report that Jayna had checked the bag and saw the clothing but that she did not mention it. Does that mean that she removed the stolen articles out of the bag because apparently she checked her bag when she was not there to see her checking it or at least that is how they made it sound in the article that I read.
It is possible that when she went to meet her that she grabbed the articles of clothing and put them in her bag not thinking for a minute that Jayna would ask her to look inside her bag...and then Jayna noticed that the bag was bigger than when she arrived so she just flat out said wait a minute let me see your bag and Brittany FLIPPED out! And from there it got ugly. How she got the hammer and the box cutter from the tool box though is beyond me.

God help us all to respect each other and treat each as a child of his creation. I hope that some day we do not have to live in fear of another.

Blessed is the man who seeks not the counsel of the unholy, or walks in the path of sinners, or sits in the the seat of the mockers.

For his joy is in the word of the Lord upon which he doth meditate both day and night.

To the PP who said it has nothing to do with hate: May you never be a victim of a hate crime and know what a hate crime really looks like firsthand. For this reason, may you continue to not know what you are talking about.

interesting point: pretend the victim was black and the murderer was white. would there be attention from "civil rights" activists (i.e., self opportunist publicity hounds) like Sharpton and Jackson calling this a hate crime? who knows? luckily I don't see the world that way, so I'm assuming race had nothing to do with this. Just one sick brutal mofo.

Who knows? We all know the answer to that.

I have faced the klan in Georgia in the 80's. I am not unsympathetic. But not all violence is racial.

Regarding the sharpton/Jackson poster, the supposed victim, Tawana Brawley, had racial epithets scrawled on her body. It was reasonable to expect them to be concerned. it is a shame that she was a liar.

They are both pro gay rights and have been involved in cases where white teens have been killed for being gay. I think that answers one of your suspicions about these two men pretty definitively.

Not all violence is racial, obviously. I'm fairly certain most of us know that. The girls spinal cord was almost severed, there is some racial anger there. And another one for this, and another one for that.......
I really don't believe the victim would have been subjected to such brutality if the victim was black. Say what you wish.

why is this "racial" and not simply psychosis? i don't get all of you jumping to say this is racially motivated.
why would a black racist woman work in a mostly white suburb in a store with mostly white clientle and be applying to a fitness center that caters to mostly white patrons if she was a racist?

why do you go there?

to me, the brutality of the crime is a link to a very mentally ill person.
Anonymous
I agree with you on that! This was a person that suffered from some deep seated mental issues. Why would someone that was a racist work in an area where she was out numbered. Bethesda is primarily a white neighborhood. Are there blacks in the neighborhood? YES
Not nearly as many though as whites. If I hated blacks I wouldn't go into a black neighborhood to work. Would you?

Not all...just mostly. I am basing that solely on the pronouns and the name of the the website. I'm certain that there are quite a few male posters as well. But most of the constant back and fourth i have seen on this thread from day one are women who somehow turn it into something about them. Just go back and reread the thread.

Not trying to cause more drama, just trying to eliminate it for everyone's sake. But such is the life we live. You can choose to be apart of it, or chose to laugh it off and carry on your merry way. To which I say, good night boys and girls!

Is this the third of fourth time you've announced you're leaving?

A tip: the impact of leaving the room in a huff is generally considered greatest if you don't keep returning and slamming the door again. "Now you've done it, you DCUMs you. This time I'm REALLY leaving!"
