Help me understand Republican women in their 30s and 40s

Who said anything about "standing"? I'm just saying that most men are Republicans, and that's even more true when you narrow in to employed men, and it's even more true when you narrow in to employed, homeowning men.

There are a lot of unemployed men on "disability" who vote Republican. It is crazy.

Nah this thread was helpful.
Republican women seem motivated by grievances both personal and imagined.
Their legitimate concerns are not improved by voting for republicans, but they don’t seem to be a persuadable voting block. And that’s ok.
There are other constituencies.

This. What has also been interesting is the real absence of any ideas to fix the legitimate concerns.

From the Democrats? Agreed. The Democrats are the party of grievances and no good ideas.

And it’s people like you who are going (unfortunately) to elect Trump. Your combination of idiocy and condescension is toxic for Democrats.

Babe, aholes gonna be aholes.
You aren’t gonna convince them not to be who they are. They were never getable voters.
Move on.

Well, Trump is going to be elected this time around by a lot of voters who voted for Biden last time around. And Trump is going to win, unfortunately, and it’s going to be because of people like you who have infested the Democratic Party.

Conservative guys are best for hot flings and then later for for marriage. Liberal guys are good when you want a roommate with benefits who will agree with you on politics.

In my dating life, I'm more suspicious of feminist men agreeing with me on everything than I am of men who vote Republican like the vast majority of employed, homeowning men do.

While I disagree with Republican male policy preferences, I think they are honestly held. Whereas with progressive men, I often feel like they being a bit disingenuous and trying to curry favor with me, with their employers, etc.

As someone who experienced sexual assault by a progressive man who described himself as a male feminist, I get it.

It almost like any and all kinds of men can sexually assault women.

Honey, go write some postcards or phone bank if you are so concerned. I’m living in a deep red enclave and the Trump signs are down this time. Take a pill. Touch grass. Watch Bridgerton.
But stop wasting your time on b’s that can’t be persuaded. Seriously.
Ps- and that includes me 😉

I’d prefer to talk to a liberal guy at the cocktail party but go home with a conservative guy.

Have your fun with AK 15 guy but long term? No thanks. Any guy that thinks he deserves to force his views on our daughters about her reproductive decisions can get lost.

The reason Democrats can away with causing inflation, endless war, endless illegal immigration, increasing crime, worse schools, etc. is because so many women voters are single issue voters on abortion. There’s no longer a mechanism for keeping politicians honest on other issues.

Because compared to having reproductive decisions forced on you, other issues fade importance as they should. Forced birth, no access to critical fertility treatments, interference with contraception.....these are seriously critical, life changing issues that deserve emergency attention this election cycle.

I mean. You guys aren’t lovable.
Like “ oh those conservative rascals can’t help but push policy that is literally endangering the lives of every woman of childbearing years in the nation. They are giving political cover to a movement that seeks to take away birth control. Those scamps!”

Sorry not sorry.

Abortion is now a state issue.

And it's threatening women's lives because now if they have a medical emergency they may have to drive hundreds of miles to a different state and face prosecution, either that or have to wait weeks for lawyers and judges instead of doctors to decide whether or not it's a medical emergency

So lobby for change at the state level if you can persuade the voters to agree with you. Problem is, the voters of many states including women, don’t.

Dp- literally abortion access and rights has won on every ballot at every election since Roe. Ya dum.

Good luck with that in states like Alabama and SC.

You do you but I'm more worried about being able to comfortably afford groceries.

Have daughters with gun guy if that floats your boat. No one is stopping you. I mean maybe if you need ivf you will be out of luck but hopefully his little swimmers are good to go.
