| Anyone know when the updated salary tables generally come out? |

| Will the GS 15 salary cap be raised? Anyone know? |
The salary cap is tied to the Executive Schedule at level IV. This increases, but recently by about 0.5% less than the typical locality-adjusted increase. So if it’s 4.1% this year the cap would go to $183,500. |
| 183,500 is the right number! |
| any idea what would be the total raise for people in DC area? I am expecting atleast 5% due to higher locality adjustment. If that happens, then difference between the max raise and raise for Gs-15 would be about 1%. The gap keeps on shrinking every year and very soon GS-14 and 15 cap would be same. They already are in San Francisco and NYC. |
Probably 5.1% |
Dude, I thought a new table was out.
|
It’s not |
| the president has to issue an order finalizing the pay raise. this typically happens in December. from there OPM updates the pay tables. that usually takes a week or two. Last year, the pay table was updated the week before xmas I believe. |
Me too and I’m like comeonnnnn |
| Should happen soon. The max gap between Gs14-10 and max Gs-15 is going to reduce further. They need to provide better incentive for people to go for Gs-15 jobs. I have tons of people in my group that are happy with Gs-14 jobs because it is not worth the salt at 15 level. |
| it's already equal in SF and NYC. Can't believe people at Gs-15 salaries can live there with everything so expensive. |
Amen. |
This is not right though. Supervisory Gs-15 is a lot of work and Govt should develop incentive so that people want to take those positions. |
