Discrimination against Asians

Diversity of skin color is just about over, affirmative action (which is diversity of skin color, not economics) is soon to be overturned.
Schools are soon going to have to defend the goal of diversity of skin color - just what exactly is the benefit?

Or perhaps the Democrats will win and pack the Supreme Court to counter the legislative abuse of the Mitch McConnell era.

Either way Fairfax is blue and segregated TJ, as it has existed in recent years, will be no more.

These are similar to the people who are ranting against Faucci and science. Just full of hate and ignorance. If they don't have any arguments, the argument is that Faucci can't throw a ball.

Makes me wonder how much you actually care about advancing equity as opposed to just bashing Asians.

She’s just thrilled she can finally unleash her racism while still feeling woke - heady combination

You’re a racist - don’t call yourself a Democrat and pretend to be on the side of equity. It’s people like you who pit minorities against each other for political gain.

I am a Democrat and despise your gross misuse of the word segregated. Please show some sensitivity and thought. Don't let your hate overpower you.

We turned Virginia blue. We’re on our way to even turning Texas blue. https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/10/28/2020-election-indian-americans-blue-wave-texas/

Do you think we don’t see what you’re doing? How you’re using race as a cudgel for political power? You’re racist, and you’re sanctimonious about it. You try to gaslight us, dismiss our struggle and make us out to be the bad guys, you use us to pay for your legacy of slavery, and then you smirk and preen yourselves - we see you for what you are, don’t pretend.

With everything collapsing in the world right now, we’re really supposed to worry that Asian Americans will go from 75% of some damn elite school to 60% ? This is not a real problem right now.

We are true blue and will continue to be. But we will make sure that what’s happening here taints every politician / wannabe politician who’s had a hand in this. We have the strength of community and the power to do so.

You have the willingness to fight your battle for the status quo on Twitter and Internet forums against equity, which is inversely correlates with political power. No “true blue” jurisdiction is going to run schools and programs like TJ/AAP that are profoundly racist at their core.

Asian here. While I agree in theory with schools like TJ and Stuyvesant using entrance exams to select students, I think that they should adopt entrance criteria that would allow for more URMs to attend, even if it means changing the schools from serving the most elite students to a broader population. The amount of strife and ill will the schools generate under current admissions criteria is not worth it. Top performing math and science students will shine in any environment, but students in households without strong supports in place for their children to succeed need a helping hand right now.
