It isn't as if he has a real job, and he lives on his grandparents' property: he's probably stupid and irresponsible enough to just fail to realize that she'd be freaking out.

He's still sketchy as hell, though.

WHY WOULD YOU SAY THIS!!??!?? SHE IS FINALLY COMING TO HER SENSES! Right? Right?

Or no. She's still obsessively correcting details while ignoring the big picture.

Sigh.

WHAT? I just pretty much outlined what a loser this guy is. To help her break free. Right? So she can move on to find an honest, mature guy with a real job.

All she's going to read is, "Oh! He really did go to the cabin with grandpa and just passed out and forgot! He's so crazy! I love that guy!"

When he DOES stagger back into her life, she's primed for that reaction anyway. So it's best we prepare her for his return so that she's ready to break things off when he surfaces.

I don't understand why, when it was verified pages ago where he worked, why OP ( or any of us sleuths here) didn't call his work and ask if he was in.
Did I miss something?

Op- it is called going ghost – it happens all the time. Happy to let it go. We tried to help and you are denying the obvious. We gave him. the benefit of the doubt for a long time it's done. But this type of guy will definitely come back eventually with all sorts of excuses to not fall for it!

What if this guy is actually hiding from OP and we are assisting a stalker?

Well, in District 12 they're worth a ton.

Does the op live in a major metropolitan area? Still trying to figure out how she was dating some farm hand....weird.

And how she didn't have more contact info, didn't know his employer. Heck by the 2nd date? I knew my wife number at home, her cell. I knew where she worked from conversation. I could have easily found the number.

OP: Pick a in town BF next time and really get to know him.

OP here: No, I don't live in a major metropolitan area. I live in Rhode Island, he's 4 hours away in NY.

& for those of you who are going to ask why I am on this site....I was living in Virginia 3 years ago for a live-in nanny job and that's how I knew about this website.

On the uncle's Facebook page there's a picture from four people fishing over the weekend – it's one of those guys a boyfriend?

Date a nice local guy in RI in the future. One who you you can contact, one who introduces you to family, one who isn't hunting

He doesn't work for a company- he hauls cows for a couple of farms.

Now that is a good quality job. HA. Exactly how would this guy provide for a family hauling cows? Unless he owns the trucking firm, that is a lack of higher education, dead end job.
