I'm starting to lean more toward this guy just deciding to stay at the cabin with Grandpa for a few extra days. It isn't as if he has a real job, and he lives on his grandparents' property: he's probably stupid and irresponsible enough to just fail to realize that she'd be freaking out.
He's still sketchy as hell, though. |
But I thought you didn't know any of his family? Can't you just scheme the property record and get his grandparents names? |
WHY WOULD YOU SAY THIS!!??!?? SHE IS FINALLY COMING TO HER SENSES! Right? Right? Or no. She's still obsessively correcting details while ignoring the big picture. Sigh. |
Sirry, I am lost. Do we finally know what happened? |
No. But we know he lied about something. |
OP here: His grandparents own a shit ton of land. Their house is on like 10+ acres of land. He has his own little house on their property, far away from their house on the property. I have looked up the address to try and find a phone number or something and nothing has come up. |
Didn't someone say they saw Grandpa's obituary? |
About what?! |
There wasn't any confirmation that it was the correct person. |
WHAT? I just pretty much outlined what a loser this guy is. To help her break free. Right? So she can move on to find an honest, mature guy with a real job. |
Well his uncle does not seem to have been in Maine. |
Well, maybe his. |
All she's going to read is, "Oh! He really did go to the cabin with grandpa and just passed out and forgot! He's so crazy! I love that guy!" |
This is a fascinating read. 72 pages. Had to skim it.
Does the op live in a major metropolitan area? Still trying to figure out how she was dating some farm hand....weird. And how she didn't have more contact info, didn't know his employer. Heck by the 2nd date? I knew my wife number at home, her cell. I knew where she worked from conversation. I could have easily found the number. OP: Pick a in town BF next time and really get to know him. |
Re: meth & "hauling cows": there is an article by Jennifer Dukes Lee called "Meatpacking Towns Seen As Key Funnel For Meth" (Des Moines Register, March 7, 1999. The book Fast Food Nation cites it.
