Right. I’m sure that’s it.

What is your angle/issue?

Np here. ODD.

Not sure if I've seen this info here - https://www.newsweek.com/brian-laundrie-search-gabby-petito-carlton-reserve-1630657

Laundrie parents say he left with a backpack Tuesday saying he was going for a hike, which they thought would be a day hike. When he didn't return, they went driving around looking for his car. They found it, and it had a police note on it that said it needed to be moved. The Laundries left it there in case Brian needed it, but the next day they went back and got it.

I was saddened to hear that Gabby’s body was discovered yesterday.

I had suspected that she likely wasn’t alive however.
While I have a gut feeling that she may have been murdered, I think it’s also possible that she was abandoned & left to die or she possibly could have committed suicide due to her relationship/mental issues.
Either way my heart 💔 aches for her family.

I suspect that Brian has left the family home + has killed himself since he does not want to go to prison.
It is only a matter of time before his body is recovered.
I strongly doubt that he will return home alive.

Overall > just a tragic outcome for two people who had their entire lives ahead of them…..

This why you don’t trust men.

I think he will make up some story that doesn’t hold up against the evidence and that he will be found guilty of manslaughter.

So is he alive or dead in the reserve? Or not in the reserve at all. The local police have said they have no more search plans. So now what?

I agree.

22 is not still a child people. Had these people been held accountable for being adults and not shacked up in a parents basement, maybe their lives would have turned out differently. Maybe they never had a chance because of untreated mental health issues (not unusual considering lack of healthcare options in our country...doubtful that organic juice bar employee had comprehensive healthcare)

I watched the police body cam footage & think the police ultimately made many mistakes.

While they were very friendly and attempted to stay fair to both sides - the fact that they put up Brian in a hotel room while allowing Gabby to leave alone, uncomfortably driving the van to an unknown destination is outrageous.

I get that the officer stressed in the video that they, the authorities could not treat either party differently due to gender but c’mon…..gender definitely matters when sending a Female off alone in a van to fend for herself while driving a Male to a hotel and assuring he arrives safe and will be taken care of.

A girl has a much better chance at possibly attracting predators vs. a guy.
So yes gender matters in this case.

She deserved a hotel room while Brian should have had the option to just take the van.
Bad judgement of the officers IMO.

Also labeling her the “Aggressor” and him the “Victim” was preposterous at best.
Even then w/out the knowledge we have now.

Anyone speaking to them could see that she was continuously crying while he was chatting cheerfully w/the cops.
It was apparent that she was scared while to him, none of what was happening was even a big deal.

The FBI agent looks really shaken. So sad.

I thought he just looked really nervous.

He was shaken. I’m married to an FBI agent. And I train law enforcement every day. 🙁

Who knows how much sleep he has gotten, also.

Sleep isn't it.
These guys see horrors every day, but when it's what amounts to be someone that's basically still a child (and possibly close to their own childrens age) it hits home even harder.
All the training in the world can't prevent you from putting yourself in her parent's position.

He was probably also holding out hope that she may still be alive... this discovery dashed all of that hope.

DP, I theoretically agree with this. But I have watched many news conferences over the years—Morgan Harrington, the Lyons sisters, Hannah Graham, for example, and have never seen a law officer sniffling, etc, the way he was. These are all horrific crimes, yet the Lyons sister’s situation was just plain evil and sickening. Found his demeanor odd.

The Charlottesville police chief absolutely was emotional during press conferences around the Hannah Graham case.

Literally anything but that.

Especially since it was already after five and would soon be nightfall.
How was it acceptable to make her drive a vehicle that she was uncomfortable driving, in the middle of practically nowhere, in her emotional state with little money and no known people in the area??
How safe is a situation like that for a 22 yr old woman?

While a man gets to “watch T.V.”, get a hot shower and gets a decent hotel room to stay in overnight? And even gets a lift there as well?!

I disagree.

If she had the van, then she had transportation and he didn't know where to find her. He had no way to go look for her, as he was effectively stranded.

If they took her to the hotel, then he'd know where she was and have transportation to get to her.

I see what you’re saying and wondered about this too, but I assumed it was because she’s the legal owner of the van.

Exactly. They were supposed to give him her van? That would make no sense.
